LINUX (UBUNTU 24.04.

1 INSTALLION) by using Virtual Box


Linux:-
• Linux is a free, open-source operating system for different platforms like servers,
computers, mainframes, mobile systems, and embedded systems.
• An operating system is the software that directly manages a systems hardware and
resources, like CPU, memory, and storage.
• It is Multi-user, Multitasking and Multiprocessor.
 It was originally created by Linus Torvalds in 1991.
 It is license free software directly downloads through the browser.
Linux Versions:
Ubuntu
Red Hat Enterprise Linux(RHEL)
Fedora
Kubuntu
Linux Mint
Etc
Installation of Linux by using oracle virtual box and ISO file.
Download Virtual box and install virtual box.
How to Download ISO file for Linux(Ubuntu 24.04.1)
Step 1: Open Web browser.
Step 2: Download Ubuntu for desktop.
Step 3: Click on download for Ubuntu 24.04.1 version.
Step 4: Save downloaded ISO file any folder.
After
step 1: Open Oracle Virtual box. Click on new.

Step 2:Get the below window on the screen create virtual machine
Step 3: Give Operating System Name Ubuntu and copy ISO image file and go to next.

Step 4: enter User name and Pass word if required and click on next. Or

Step 5: Check Skip Unattended Installation


Step 6: if you need change the processor size, Base Memory

Step 7: create the disk .

Step 8: Get the summary and click on finish next Ubuntu installation process will started.
Step 9: After finish again open virtual box by default and click on start for installation

Step 10: Try or Install Ubuntu option came on the screen press enter.

Step 11: Start the installation.


Step 12: choose your language

Step 13: accessibility

Step 14: change keyboard layout


Step 15: connect to network options

Step 16: select Install Ubuntu and click on next

Step 17: select interactive installation and press next


Step 18: what apps would you like to install start with choose default selection and next

Step 19: install recommended proprietary software.

Step 20: installation type.


Step 21: create account.

Step 22: choose time zone

Step 23: ready to install


Step 24: Copying files

Step 25: Copying different applications

Step 26: Installing System


Step 27: Select Continue testing

Step 28: Final below screen will show on desktop Installation is completed.
