General Guide

Step 1: Download VMware Player:

🌕 Go to the official VMware website (https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player.html) and navigate to the


🌕 Download the appropriate version of VMware Player for your operating system (Windows or Linux).
"Workstation Player" section.

Step 2: Download Windows VMware Image:

🌕 Obtain a Windows VM image file for the version of Windows you want to install. You can often download these from the
Microsoft website or use an official source.I have provided the link below this video. PleaseNote: This link may change with time,
so it is always recommended to check the official source to get the relevent download link.

Step 3: Install VMware Player:

🌕 Run the downloaded VMware Player installer and follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your computer.
Step 4: Open the New Virtual Machine:

🌕 Once VMware is installed,


🌕 Click on "Open a Virtual Machine" or select "File" > "Open a Virtual Machine." to launch it
🌕 Browse to the Windows downloaded vm compressed folder.
🌕 Choose the appropriate guest operating system version (e.g., Windows 10 or Windows 11) and click "Next."
🌕 Enter a name for your virtual machine Eg: “Windows 10 VM” and choose a location to save it. Click "Next."
🌕 Choose the disk capacity for your virtual machine. You can allocate all the space now or allow it to grow as needed. Click "Next."
🌕 Review the settings you've chosen and click "Finish."
Step 5 Configuring the Windows Virtual Machine:

1. Right-click on the newly created virtual machine and select "Settings."


2. Under the "Hardware" tab, increase the memory (RAM) allocation to at least 2 GB (or more if possible).
3. Go to the "Processors" section and increase the number of processor cores if your system supports it.
4. Select Network Adapter - Click “Add”. From Hardware type select “Network Adapter” - Select “Finish”.
5. Now, on the right side of the tab, select the “NAT” radio button.
6. Repeat step 4 to add another network adapter “Host”
7. And once again, repeat the step 4 to add network connection “Bridged: Connected Directly to the Physical network” and also tick the
check box “Replicate Physical network connection state”
8. Click "OK" to save the settings.

Step 6 Configuring Windows VM:

● Log in with the root username and the password you had set during installation.
● Please Note that the Default username is “IEuser”. And the Default password is “Passw0rd!”

Step 7: Install VMware Tools (Optional):

🌕 After Windows is installed, you can choose to install VMware Tools. This enhances the integration between the host and guest
operating systems and provides better graphics and performance.

Finalize Setup:

🌕 Complete any additional setup steps required by Windows, such as updating drivers, installing software, and configuring security
settings.
