Note: If you are connecting onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility begin with the
steps below to connect to CORP-INTERNET. Otherwise, if you are connecting
virtually from a non-Lockheed Martin facility, please proceed to the VPN Client
Setup Guide

CORP-INTERNET Connection Guide
1. Launch your wireless configuration settings and select the network called
CORP-INTERNET.
2. When prompted, enter the CORP-INTERNET password provided by your
site.
3. Once connected to the wireless network, open a web browser and try to
access a website (e.g. https://lockheedmartin.com/)
4. When redirected to a login page, enter the LM Guest WiFi User and LM
Guest WiFi Password into the login prompt.
5. You are now connected to the internet. Proceed to VPN Client Guide
section to connect to the CYBERQUEST network.

The 2 Windows Server machines listed above will have 2 active Remote Desktop
Protocol (RDP) connections per username, allowing for a maximum of 4 active
RDP connections (2 per username)
The Kali machine may have numerous Secure Shell (SSH) connections with the
single account listed above.
You can only access the targeted systems through the jumpbox virtual machines,
not your host computer.
NOTE: If you need callbacks to your attack machine from a target machine, use
the IP address listed in the table above under column title “IP Address”.

If you need support during the competition, please post a question to your team’s
private chat room which will be visible once you log into the chat server.
Lockheed Martin volunteers will be monitoring the channels to answer any
questions you may have.

VPN Client Setup Guide
Please follow the instructions below to setup your VPN client and connect to the
LM CYBERQUEST competition environment.
Pre-requisite
You will need the following items from the Initial Setup on Page 2 to complete the
VPN client setup:
1. Client VPN Username
2. Client VPN Password
3. Team Region

c. Once successfully logged in, the AWS Client VPN Self-Service Portal
will appear.

b. Once the .ovpn file has been downloaded to your local system, note
the location of it, as you’ll need this information during the next
steps.
Installation.

Connect to AWS Client VPN
1. Import the .ovpn client configuration file to the Client VPN software.
a. Launch the AWS Client VPN software installed in the previous steps.
b. Choose “File”, then “Manage Profiles”
c. Selected “Add Profile”
d. Enter a Display Name (this can be anything)
e. Select your .ovpn client configuration file downloaded in previous
steps (named something along the lines of cvpn-endpoint<various
numbers/letters>.ovpn)
f. Click “Add Profile”
g. Select “Done”
2. Connect to the Client VPN by selecting the “Connect” button.
3. When prompted, enter your Client VPN Username and Password found in
the Initial Setup section
4. Once you are connected to the VPN, use the information in the Team
Connection Information section to connect your team’s Windows Jumpbox
system.

Kali GUI
Please follow the instructions below to access the Kali GUI from your Windows
Jumpbox.
Pre-requisite
You will need to have successfully connected to the CYBERQUEST competition
environment, as per the instructions in VPN Client Setup Guide section
1. Connect to your Kali Jumpbox via Secure Shell (SSH) using the credentials
provided in the Team Connection Information section
2. Run the command “vncserver” to launch a new “X” session

5. When asked if you would like to “enter a view-only password”, enter “n”
and press enter.
7. RDP into your Windows Jumpbox and launch “Tiger VNC” (Shortcut is on
the desktop)

a. If you have multiple “X” sessions for multiple users, append :2, :3, :4,
etc. to the end of the IP Address.
9. Enter the VNC Password created above in Step 3 and click “Ok” to launch
the GUI
