Calculate the weight of apples after eating:

- Weight of apples eaten: 0.5 kg

- Remaining apples: 3.5 kg - 0.5 kg = 3 kg

Calculate the weight of oranges after giving some away:

- Initial weight of oranges: 2.2 kg

- Weight of oranges given away: 0.3 kg

- Remaining oranges: 2.2 kg – 0.3 kg = 1.9 kg

Calculate the total weight of fruit left:

- Total remaining fruit: 3 kg (apples) + 1.9 kg (oranges) = 4.9 kg

- Answer: 4.9 kg
