The standard translation process for the Aurena client implies that translations for new and changed
functionality are delivered with the following update.
Attributes for the EE client that have been added close to the release date won’t be translated until the
next update release.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

When doing a fresh install on Oracle version 19.14 or higher, there might be a installation error as
described here:

domain-errors-28099

This issue is identified as a bug correction in Oracle RU 19.14 where a grant to sys."_BASE_USER" was
lowered from SELECT to READ privileges.

This in turn makes the IFS SEARCH_DOMAIN_ERRORS view fail with a grant error.
The failing grant is given to IFSSYS, but the SEARCH_DOMAIN_ERRORS view is not used by any
client code, so even if the grant fails, the application will still work without any issues.

RnD is aiming to correct this in Apps10 UPD20

Workaround until then is as mentioned above:

grant select on sys."_BASE_USER" to ctxsys with grant option;

The standard translation process for the Aurena client implies that translations for new and changed
functionality are delivered with the following update.
For Update 8, HCM has done major client file refactoring to separate Casual Employee pages from
Manager pages to give separate permissions for different user roles, and therefore translations need to be
reapplied for the new client files. This means that translations in the HCM Aurena client, for pages related
to the above refactoring, will not be available in Update 8. We will make the translated attributes available
as soon as they have been delivered from the translation agency, hopefully before the release of Update 9.

UPDATE CONSIDERATION

When creating an IFS Home from IFSAPP10 UPD5 the error message "Failed to check if IFS Home is
registered, please verify manually before proceeding." can be incorrectly shown if the application server
host does not have the entry SOFTWARE\Oracle
in the registry. Please refer LCS Solution ID 272756 (Partners : 272756, CEC : 272756, ISC : 272756)for
resolution information of this issue’

After applying UPD5, when a layered implementation (Ext/Cust - .plsql, views, storage ) file is modified in
a delivery, and when generating code, the change will get omitted in the generated code if there is no
modification done in the corresponding model file. This has been fixed with a Code Generator delivery
released as a Point Release after UPD5. Please refer LCS Solution ID 273869 (Partners : 273869, CEC :
273869, ISC : 273869) for resolution information of this issue including the available workaround

App10 Update5 includes a combination of Aurena functionality that is in RTM and beta status.
The Aurena areas in RTM status are HCM, CRM, Technician Portals, IFS Mobile Work Order on IFS
Aurena Native RTM, B2B Functionality, Manage Supplier Invoice and Quality Assurance.
All other Aurena areas are currently in beta status and therefore subject to potential change until the RTM
later this year; it is not recommended that that these areas be customized or used in any live environment.

App10 Update 5 also introduces new mechanisms in IFS Aurena Framework. This implies that any
customizations done previously needs to be verified when upgrading. The Aurena FW cannot be applied
to previous versions. IFS Aurena FW is only compatible with corresponding IFS Applications 10 update.

Due to the large set of new and modified files released with App10 Update 5 there will be an impact on the
deployment time. Expect an increased deployment time (up to 2 hours more) depending on solution
installed.

Primavera Integration in Update 4

In Update 4, IFS Applications is released with updated WebLogic and Java versions due to critical security
patches released by Oracle. This has caused an incompatibility with the Primavera integration API, and as
a result the Primavera integration did not work when Update 4 was released. There is now a solution for
this problem, described in the Project-Based Release notes in section 5.7, Weblogic Setting Required for
Primavera Integration

This update includes the following noteworthy new capabilities

Product Area Description

Financials - Lease Accounting The solution will primarily be included in the in Fixed Assets
process. There will be no adverse impact to other products since the
solution is handled within the IFS Financials product only. The
solution will handle the following functions:

Calculations and postings for the leased assets according to the
accounting principles as given in the IFRS 16 and ASC 842.
• Support for lease modifications such as changing the lease terms,
interest rates or the index used etc.
• support for analysis and reporting.
Business Reporting & Analysis - In IFS Applications 10 RTM the Maintenance OLAP cube was not
IFS Analysis Models – included due to limitations in content of underlying Information
Maintenance Sources.
These Information Source limitations are now being removed and
the cube is now planned to be included.
NB - This delivery was initially planned for Update 2 and has been
delayed. It is now planned to be delivered in Update 3
Supply Chain – Purchasing Enabled the possibility to add External Service Order lines to
released purchase orders via change orders.
Supply Chain – Purchasing In some situations using conversion factors and partial
receipts/returns, we have experienced an unbalance on the GRNI
account. To make sure GRNI is always cleared, we have added a
balancing transaction when setting the closed date on the receipt.
Supply Chain - Warehouse Data A sound feedback has been introduced in the IEE WADACO client
Collection to alert the user when a process is successfully completed or an
error is encountered. This feature is already present in SCANIT and
the Windows Mobile Client.

Maintenance - Task Transactions Automatically Authorize
- We have changed the time when the Object Property
AUTO_AUTH_SIGN, AUTO_AUTH_SIGN_TOOL,
AUTO_AUTH_SIGN_EXT and AUTO_AUTH_SIGN_EXP are
considered, from creation of the transaction to when the Work Task
that holds the transaction is set to Reported. This will mean that
these transactions (personnel time, tool time, manual external and
manual expense) will automatically be set to Authorized (if not
already Authorized) when the Work Task is set to Reported (in the
case that the corresponding Property Value is set to TRUE).
Document Management - Digital It is sometimes required to go through an approval routing to get
Signatures documents approved by respective personnel.
