REVISION GUIDE CE2 CLASSIQUE

(First Period-NOVEMBER EVALUATION)


ENGLISH LANGUAGE:
1. Letters and Sounds: 'oa' and 'ie'

Activities:

 Practice the sounds oa (as in boat, goat, coat, and etc..) and ie (as in pie).
 Create a word list for each sound (e.g., goat, coat, tie, lie).
 Ask your child to identify oa and ie words in books.

Vocabulary: Greetings

 Practice saying: Hello, Hi, Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening,
Goodbye.

Alphabet and Letter Identification:

 Review the English alphabet.


 Identify vowels (a, e, i, o, u) and consonants.
2. Letters and Sounds: 'ee' and 'or'

Activities:

 Practice the sounds ee (as in tree, three, sheep, bee, and etc…) and
or (as in fork).

Sound ee:

Vocabulary:
 Review the Days of the Week and discuss them.
 Talk about the weather using phrases like: It’s sunny, rainy, or
 cloudy.

Commands and Requests:

 Practice giving simple commands: Stand up, Sit down, Open your
book.
 Encourage your child to respond to requests: Please bring your
bag.
Alphabet Practice:

 Work on distinguishing small letters from capital letters. For


example: a - A, b - B.

3. Letters and Sounds: 'z' and 'w'

Activities:

 Practice the sounds z (as in zebra, Zero, Zip) and w (as in water).

Vocabulary: Self-Introduction
 Practice saying:
o What is your name? My name is ____.
o How old are you? I am _____ years old.
o What is your favourite colour? My favourite colour is____.
o What is your favourite food? My favourite food is ______.
o How many brothers and sisters do you have? I have____
brothers and _______ sisters.
o What fruit do you like and dislike? I like ________ and I
dislike _______.

o What is your favourite hobby? My favourite hobby is _____.

Capitalization Practice (1):

 Review the rule: Always capitalize the first letter of a sentence


and proper nouns (e.g., names like Sarah).
 Example: My name is Paul.

Notice that the sentence began with a capital letter and The initial
of the noun Paul(P) is capitalized because it is proper noun.

Vocabulary: Classroom Materials

 Teach your child to identify items like a copy book, school bag,
pencil, eraser.

 Practice spelling and saying these words.
