1. Any of the following learning styles
Visual learning style
This is a learner who remembers best by seeing things.:
• Highlight or underline the main idea in textbooks or notes whenever possible.
•Use mind mapping to help make sense of reading assignments.
•To study for a test, do something you can see: draw pictures, make timelines, copy your notes,
spelling words or Mathematics problems.
•Use index cards to make flash cards. You can colour-code or categorise them, separate them into
"know" and "don't know yet" piles or play a memory game with them.
•If you are bored with paper, draw or write on a computer, chalkboard or dry erase whiteboard as
you study.
•Interview people about the subject you are studying.
•Close your eyes and practice "seeing" what you need to remember.
•Close your eyes and "see" a word you need to spell before you write it.

Aural learning style
This is a learner who remembers best by hearing things.
•Complete your reading assignments soon after the teacher discusses the material, whenever
possible.
•Read difficult passages aloud instead of silently.
•Record your notes, vocabulary, Mathematics facts or whatever you must learn. Play it at home and
when you are riding in the car. When you think you know the material, recite it. Also listen to
information about a topic on DVD or TV.
•Use music to help you learn. Put the information to a tune you already know or make up your own
song or jingle. If you prefer, you can create rhymes or poems to help you.
•Have someone quiz you or study with a friend and go over the information aloud.
•`Study in a quiet place with no outside distraction
•Choose to give a speech rather than do a written report whenever possible.
• If you are having trouble spelling a word, spell it out loud before you write it.
Kinaesthetic learning style
This is a learner who remembers best by doing things.
•Use concrete objects (like coins, beans, blocks, etc.) to help you understand Mathematics concepts.
• "Teach" the information you learn to your family by using a chalkboard or whiteboard to write or
draw concepts while explaining.
•Have someone talk through the information with you while you do something "active" like bounce a
tennis ball, walk around, squeeze a piece of clay or play with a "stress ball".
•When you sit to study, get up frequently and take breaks.
Have a parent or teacher help you develop a system to get and stay organised.
•Build constructions and models while learning difficult concepts. Visit a place you are learning about.
Reading and writing
This is a learner who remembers best by reading and writing things.
•Read a chapter before you listen to it in class.
•When you watch demonstrations or listen to a teacher teaching, take good written notes.

•Read your notes, study guides, and flash cards over and over again.
•Read information yourself instead of having someone read it to you.
•Look up words you know the meaning of in a dictionary instead of asking someone what they
mean. You'll be more likely to remember the meanings.
•"Pencil read" by reading with a pencil in your hand. Underline and take notes as you read.
•Choose to do written reports instead of giving speeches whenever possible.
•Keep track of your schedule with a calendar system and write down commitments. Write lists of
