MATERIAL AND TOOLS
A computer
A USB drive (at least 8GB)
Ubuntu ISO file (downloaded from the official website)
A tool like Rufus (for creating bootable USB)
STEP BY STEP

Installation
STEP 1: DOWNLOAD
THE UBUNTU ISO FILE

Visit the official Ubuntu website (https://ubuntu.com/download).


Choose the version of Ubuntu you wish to install (LTS versions are more stable).
Download the ISO file by clicking the download button.
STEP 2: CREATE A
BOOTABLE USB DRIVE
Insert the USB drive into your computer.
Download and install a tool like Rufus (Windows) or Etcher
(Mac/Linux).
Open Rufus, select the USB drive, and choose the Ubuntu ISO file you
downloaded.
Click "Start" to create the bootable USB drive.
STEP 3: BOOT FROM USB
Once the bootable USB is ready, restart your computer.
Enter the BIOS or UEFI settings (usually by pressing
F2, F12, ESC, or DEL during startup).
Change the boot order to prioritize the USB drive.
Save and exit the BIOS/UEFI settings. Your computer
will now boot from the USB.
STEP 4: START UBUNTU
INSTALLATION
After booting from the USB, you’ll see an option to "Try
Ubuntu" or "Install Ubuntu". Select Install Ubuntu.
Choose your preferred language and click Continue.
STEP 5: SELECT
INSTALLATION TYPE
You will be given options to erase the disk or install alongside your
existing OS. Choose based on your preference.
If you're installing alongside another OS, Ubuntu will help partition the
drive automatically.
Select whether you want to install third-party software (recommended
for better functionality).
STEP 6: CONFIGURE
SETTINGS
Choose your location for time zone settings.
Set your keyboard layout.
Enter your personal details such as your name, computer name, and
password.
STEP 7: BEGIN
INSTALLATION
Click Install Now to begin the installation process.
Wait for the installation to complete. This may take several minutes.
STEP 8: RESTART AND
REMOVE USB
Once the installation is finished, you will be prompted to restart.
Remove the USB drive during the restart.
STEP 9: ENJOY UBUNTU

After the restart, Ubuntu will boot up. Log in with the password you
set earlier.
Congratulations, you've successfully installed Ubuntu!
