ADVANCED JAVA PROGRAMMING

Before answering the question-paper candidates should ensure that they have been supplied to
correct and complete question-paper. No complaint, in this regard, will be entertained after
the examination.

Note : Attempt Five questions in all, selecting at least one question from each Unit. All
questions carry equal marks.

Unit I

1. (a) What is Exception Handling ? Explain types of exception and how are they
handled in Java ? Also explain advantages of exception handling with the help of
a suitable example.
(b) What is an Applet ? Write limitations of AWT and explain, how swings overcome
them ?

2. (a) What is window pane in swing ? List out different window panes and give the
purpose of each.
(b) How can a Tree structure be created in Swing ? Explain with the help of an
example.

(b) What is difference between get and post method ?

6. Explain the life cycle phases of servlet. Write a servlet that prints the sum of all the
digits of an input integer.

7. Briefly discuss the scope of JSP objects. Also explain the concepts of JSP implicit
objects.
