1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Purpose
This Risk Management Plan aims to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks
during the development phase of the AASTU Internship Management System to
ensure successful project completion and long-term sustainability.

1.2. Scope
This plan encompasses risks related to the development phase that may impact the
system's progress or successful completion.

1.3. Objectives
 Identify and document potential risks across all phases of the Student Internship
Management System app development.
 Assess the likelihood and impact of identified risks to prioritize mitigation efforts
and resources.
 Establish ongoing monitoring and control mechanisms to track risks and update
the risk assessment regularly.

2. RISK IDENTIFICATION AND CATEGORIZATION
2.1 Technical Risks

 Software Bugs and System Failures: Issues during development leading to system
crashes or malfunctions.
 Performance Bottlenecks: Slowdowns in the system due to heavy media uploads
or other inefficiencies.
 Chat System Issues: Challenges in ensuring message delivery and status tracking
(seen/unseen).
 Dashboard Overload: Overloading the user interface with excessive data affecting
user experience.

2.2 Project Management Risks

 Project Delays: Failure to meet development milestones due to unforeseen

obstacles.
 Inadequate Testing: Insufficient testing of the system leading to undetected
critical errors.

2.3 Operational Risks

 Technical Debt: Accumulation of unfinished tasks or poorly implemented

features that create long-term maintenance challenges.

2.4 Challenges to Completing the Project

 Unforeseen Technical Barriers: Issues implementing complex functionalities like

real-time chat and task automation.
 Scalability Limitations: The system may not be able to handle a larger user base
as initially planned.

3. RISK MITIGATION STRATEGIES
3.1 Technical Risk Mitigation

 Clearly define system requirements and functionalities before starting the

development process.
 Conduct regular code reviews and implement automated testing to identify issues
early.

3.2 Project Management Risk Mitigation

 Implement Agile methodologies with sprint planning to ensure flexibility in
development.
 Assign dedicated roles for development, testing, and documentation to avoid
resource bottlenecks.

3.3 Operational Risk Mitigation

 Clearly implement the expected system’s features to avoid poor and unfinished
work.

4. CONCLUSION
This Risk Management Plan provides a structured approach to identifying, assessing,
and mitigating risks during the development of the Student internship Management
System. By implementing proactive risk management strategies and continuous
monitoring, the project will be able to adapt to potential challenges, ensuring
successful implementation and long-term sustainability.
