activities are done during the three months of internship:

4.1.1 Conducting User Research

Conducting user research is a crucial aspect of UI/UX design that involves
systematically gathering information about users to understand their needs, behaviors,
and challenges. This process typically includes user interviews, surveys, and usability
testing. User interviews provide in-depth insights into individual user experiences,
preferences, and pain points through direct conversations. Surveys offer a broader
view by collecting quantitative data from a larger audience, which helps in identifying
trends and patterns. Usability testing involves observing users as they interact with a
product or prototype to identify usability issues and areas for enhancement.
Collectively, these research methods provide a comprehensive understanding of user
requirements and help in creating designs.

4.1.2 Creating Personas and User Journeys

Creating personas and user journeys involves synthesizing user research data into
actionable design tools. Personas are detailed, fictional profiles that represent various
user types based on research findings. They include demographic information, goals,
challenges, and behaviors, helping designers empathize with different segments of the
user base. User journeys, on the other hand, map out the steps users take to achieve
specific goals within a product or service. These visual representations highlight key
touchpoints and interactions, showcasing the user's experience from start to finish. By

developing personas and user journeys, designers can better understand user needs
and pain points, guiding the design process to create intuitive and effective user
experiences.

4.1.3 Designing Wireframes

Wireframing is the process of creating low-fidelity visual layouts that outline the
structure and placement of key elements in a digital product, such as navigation
menus, buttons, and content areas. During my internship, I used tools like Figma to
design these wireframes, which served as blueprints for my project Visions
Entertainment. I focused on mapping user flows and organizing elements to enhance
functionality and user experience. By iterating on the wireframes based on feedback, I
ensured that they effectively guided further design and development stages.

Usability testing is a method used to evaluate how easily users can navigate and
interact with a product, ensuring it meets their needs. Before the actual usability
testing for Vision Entertainment, we conducted a pilot test where my mentor acted as
the user, and my colleague and I took on interviewer and observer roles. The process
involved a "napkin test” to understand the user's first impressions and how they
visualized the platform., followed by usability testing to identify issues, and
concluded with an evaluative interview to gather user feedback. This experience
taught me how to manage users with varying personalities and adapt when challenges,
like unresponsive participants, arose.

4.1.7 Reiterating the Design

Reiterating the design is an essential part of the UI/UX process, where feedback from
usability testing and other evaluations is used to refine and improve the product. For
Vision Entertainment, after collecting insights from user interactions, we revisited the
wireframes and prototypes, making adjustments to address usability issues and
enhance the overall user experience. This iterative process allowed us to ensure that
the platform became more intuitive, responsive, and aligned with user expectations,
leading to a more polished and functional design.

the development process. It involved creating clear and structured records of every
aspect of the project, including design specifications, development protocols, and
technical requirements. During the design phase, detailed documentation was
prepared to outline wireframes, user flows, and prototype guidelines. This ensured
that developers and other stakeholders had a clear understanding of the design
intentions. As the development phase progressed, technical documentation covered
coding standards, API integrations, and database structures, facilitating seamless
collaboration between team members. In addition to technical details, user testing and
feedback were meticulously documented, helping track issues, iterate on designs, and
refine features based on real- world usage. Finally, the project’s documentation was
compiled into a comprehensive guide that could be referenced for maintenance, future
updates, and scaling of the platform.
