Job Title: BackEnd Developer

Location: Bengaluru
Type: Full Time, In-Office

Salary: 7-9 Lakhs Annual CTC


Working Hours: 9AM-6PM, Monday to Friday.

measures by pet parents. The goal is to provide pet parents with a complete ecosystem for pet care, so that
they can make informed decisions for their pet. Currently, With our flagship product, FluffFit, we're charting
a new course in personalised health monitoring. It's your dog's care companion. FluffFit monitors daily
activities, sleep patterns, body temperature, and even location. And Complementing FluffFit we have Foodie:
An automatic smart food dispenser, which can be personalised for a particular pet. Fond is at the forefront of
promoting pet well-being. Join us in ushering in a new era of pet care, where innovation meets love. In
addition to this, many products and services are in the pipeline, which can help ease a pet & its parent's life.

Responsibilities
● API Design & Development:
○ Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to define API endpoints, data
structures, and authentication mechanisms.
○ Implement RESTful APIs using Node.js, Express.js, ensuring they are well-structured,
maintainable, and adhere to best practices.
○ Handle data validation, error handling, and security measures to protect against
vulnerabilities.

● Database Management:
○ Design and implement MySQL database schemas, ensuring data integrity and efficient
querying.
○ Optimize database performance by utilizing appropriate indexing, caching, and query
optimization techniques.
○ Manage database migrations and backups to ensure data consistency and recoverability.

● Backend Logic & Business Rules:


○ Implement the core business logic of the application on the server-side.
○ Process data from various sources, perform calculations, and apply business rules.
○ Integrate with third-party APIs and services as needed.

● Testing & Debugging:


○ Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure the functionality and reliability of backend
code.
○ Use debugging tools and techniques to identify and resolve issues effectively.
○ Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge.
Requirements
● Proven Experience:
○ A Bachelor's or Master's degree in domain of Full Stack / Specific Stacks or a related field.
○ 2+ years of experience.

● Technical Skills:
○ Experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
○ Strong proficiency in Node.js, Express.js, and MySQL.
○ Understanding of security best practices for web applications.
○ Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.).
○ Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
○ Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) is a plus.

● Soft Skills:
○ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
○ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
○ A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for delivering high-quality work.
○ Passion for learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

● Additional Required Skills:


○ Ability to work in an agile development environment with iterative design & development
cycles.
○ Basic knowledge and understanding of frontend development
○ 2+ LoRs or references from previous employers or university professors.
