The project report titled 'Crop Prediction using Machine Learning' presents a study on recommending optimal crops based on various factors such as soil content, climate, and historical data. It employs machine learning techniques including decision trees, Random Forest, and CNN to provide accurate crop suggestions while ensuring data privacy through an agent-based system. The report is submitted as part of the Bachelor of Technology requirements at Shivaji University, Kolhapur, by a group of students under the guidance of Mrs. M.P. Patil.

ABSTRACT

Recommending the best crop to grow is an important use of machine

learning. Since farming depends on many changing factors like soil content, climate,
and rainfall, choosing just one crop without proper analysis is not enough. This paper
shows how crops can be recommended at different levels by studying historical
farming data, soil nutrients, weather patterns, and rainfall records. We use a decision
tree, Random Forest and CNN method to make accurate crop suggestions. The paper
also explains how an agent-based system can help different farming areas share
useful farming rules without sharing their private data. This makes it possible to
create a system that works well even with a large amount of agricultural information.
