CHANGE LANGUAGE
If you wish to change the language, click on the language symbol in the top right
corner.

RESIZE FONTS
To enlarge or decrease text, click on the A+ or A- symbols in the top right corner.

CHANGE SKIN
To enlarge to bright or dark mode click on the change skin symbol in the top right
corner.

RESIZE THE CHART WINDOW

Point the mouse at the bottom frame of the chart and drag the frame up or down
to change the size of the chart window.

5
CHANGE CHART COLOUR
Click on the paintbrush symbol above the chart window. Here you can change the
current chat windows’ layout, based on the default scheme of dark or white. The
gradient colour lets you change the background colours of the chart.

SINGLE OR MULTI-CHART VIEW

You can toggle to multi-chart view by clicking on the window symbol above the
chart. The multiple chart windows are auto-arranged, but you can flip charts by
dragging and dropping individual charts on top of other charts. You can then resize
each chart window with the mouse. You can open up to 16 charts at the same
time but windows cannot overlap. To return back to a single chart view, click on
the window symbol in the top right-hand corner of each chart or in the menu bar
above the charts.

6
Market view

To the left of the chart window, you will see the list of tradeable instruments. You can create and
personalise your own watchlist by deleting and adding instruments.

Click once in the search field on the top and type

the name of the symbol you would like to add, for
example ‘EURUSD’, ‘GOLD’ or ‘GER30’. If several
instruments start with the same letters, you are
shown the symbols to choose from.

If the symbol is already included in your watchlist, it is highlighted for you.

If you are not happy with the order of the symbols, you can drag and drop them up and down the
list with your mouse.

To eliminate an instrument from the market view, click the cross next to the symbol name.

You can collapse or extend the symbol view to show the trade panel or hide it by clicking on the
expand symbol next to the search field or on the symbol name itself.

SENTIMENT INDICATOR
A sentiment indicator on the market watch
displays the percentage of total open short
positions per instrument. This information is
shown in lots on the left to the total amount
of all open positions.

7
Managing trades

You have several ways to open the order window and place an order. First, you should decide
whether you would like to use the trade panel in the chart or market view to trade with one click,
or prefer to open the chart window to enter the order with two clicks.

Warning: If the one-click trading function is activated, your click on either the buy or sell button
will immediately result in a market order being placed.

To activate or deactivate one-click trading, click on the 1-2 symbol next to the search field.

If the one-click view is being activated, note that you need to first accept a disclaimer.

If you would like to display the trade panel within the chart as well, make a right click in the chart
and select Quick Trading from the menu. The same option lets you hide the panel again. Also, click
at the top of that panel to minimise the view permanently. Click on the little cross in the chart
panel to close it.

The numbers in this panel show you

L: Low price of the day

Up/down arrow: change from previous day
H: High price of the day

PLACING MARKET ORDERS

In the above example, you are ready to place a market order of 0.18 lots at the current ask price
of 1.31797 USD for a buy order or at 1.31789 USD for a sell order. You are free to add a Stop
Loss and Take Profit now or add it later. Type the S/L or T/P price in the relevant fields or type ‘0’
or untick the small tickbox if you don’t want to use a S/L or T/P.

The 0.8 between the buy and sell buttons indicates the current spread between the ask and bid
prices.

8
By clicking on either the sell or buy button in the two-click trading mode, you are instead shown
the full order window, where you can also toggle between market order and pending order.

In addition, you can open the order

window by clicking on the + New
Order symbol in the top menu.
Note that this also opens the order
window in one-click trading mode.

PLACING PENDING ORDERS

To place a pending order, always open
the order window. You can do this by
either clicking on the trade panel buy
and sell buttons in two-click trading
mode, by making a right click in the
chart and selecting New Order, or by
clicking in the order icon next to the
symbol in the market watch.

Here you can now enter the pending

order type, the stop or limit price, and
the expiration date. Keep the expiration
date GTC if your order should have an
unlimited validity.

MODIFYING AND CLOSING ORDERS AND OPEN POSITIONS

Once you have placed an order or opened a position, they are showed below the chart in the
Trades tab.

9
You can close the position by clicking on the close button on the right, or alternatively by making
a right click on the position and selecting Close Position from the menu. Note again that in one-
click trading mode the position is closed immediately.

Otherwise, the order window is displayed, which prompts you to confirm your order.

If you would like to modify a position, then instead of close, select modify in the position menu or
click the modify icon on the right.

10
Working with charts

CHANGE CHART TYPE

Click on one of the three icons in the menu bar to toggle between candlestick chart, bar chart or
line chart.

CHANGE PERIODICITY
Click on one of the icons in the menu bar to select the timeframe for each bar or candle:

M1 – 1 minute M5 – 5 minutes M15 – 15 minutes M30 – 30 minutes

H1 – 1 hour H4 – 4 hours D1 – 1 day W1 – 1 week

Mn – 1 Month

Alternatively, switch the time frame by making a right click on the chart to show a chart menu and
select the timeframe from here.

ZOOM
Use the + and – icons in the menu bar or the + and – keys on your keyboard to zoom the chart in
or out.

MOVE TIMEFRAME
To show an older or more recent part of the historic price, click on the left or right arrows in the
menu bar or use the left and right arrows on your keyboard.

Click on the forward arrow with the vertical line to always show the latest candle and shift the
chart automatically to the left.

ADDING OBJECTS AND

INDICATORS
You can select chart objects either
from the chart menu or the menu
above the chart, then click in the
chart to place your object.
Before an indicator can be placed on the chart, note that you are prompted to check the specific
parameters of the indicators. Once you are happy with the settings, click on Save Changes to
apply the indicators to the active chart.

11
MODIFYING OBJECTS AND INDICATORS
Make a double click on the object to edit. For all the objects, you can choose at least a different
colour.

To modify an indicator, click on the name

of the indicator in the bottom left corner of
the chart window and select Edit from the
menu.

You will then be able to modify the

indicator-specific parameters and colour
settings.

Don’t forget to click on Save Changes to

apply your new settings.

DELETING OBJECTS AND INDICATORS

To delete a single object, you first need to select it and click
the bin icon in the menu. You can delete a multitude of objects
in one chart at the same time by making a right click in the
chart and selecting Clear All Drawings from the menu.

To delete an indicator, the quickest method is to click on the

cross next to it.

Similarly, you can simultaneously delete a number of indicators in one chart by making a right click
in the chart and selecting Clear All Indicators from the menu.

12
Account management

SWITCH BETWEEN MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS

Your login allows you to switch the active
account to any of your demo or live accounts
with just one login. To show and manage
another account, click on the account in the
bottom left-hand corner of the platform.

TRANSACTION AND TRADE HISTORY

Click on the History tab to view your past trades and funding operations.

You can change the period to view by clicking on the

period field and selecting one of the predefined options
or by selecting Period to choose your own date and time
range.

To show any additional columns or hide them again, click on the symbol next to the date field.
Finally, you can sort by any of these criteria, such as order size, by clicking on the column header.
Simply click again to reverse the order.

FUNDING YOUR ACCOUNT

At the top, you will find shortcuts to the ActivTrades Personal Area and its funding section. Click
on Deposit and, if already logged in to the Personal Area, you are directly forwarded to the
funding options available to you.

13
EXITING THE PLATFORM
On exiting the platform, your last layout is automatically saved and you can start next time right
where you left. Click on the exit symbol in the top right-hand corner of the platform to close the
platform and return to the login screen. While the platform is closed, your stop and limit orders
will continue to be operated by the trade server and will be executed once the order price is
reached.
