A. Attendance/Absences

1. I understand that synchronous class sessions have a set schedule agreed upon during our first meeting, and I am expected to
adhere to this without excuse unless specified below.

2. I am responsible for tracking my attendance and absences with the Instructor. I am allowed a maximum of four (4) absences
from synchronous sessions. Exceeding this limit will result in my immediate withdrawal from the course.

3. I will be marked absent if I:

o Fail to log in to the scheduled online session.

o Join the session after a 10-minute grace period without prior notice.

o Exhibit disruptive behavior (e.g., muting and unmuting excessively, leaving video off when required, or engaging in
off-topic activities).

o Disconnect without informing the professor and fail to return within the session.

4. To rejoin a session after being marked absent, I must wait for the professor’s approval or re-enter during designated break
periods.

5. For absences due to illness, I must submit a letter from my parent/guardian with a photocopy of their valid I.D. and a medical
certificate within 72 hours. Otherwise, the absence is unexcused.

6. For emergencies, I must provide a letter from my parent/guardian with their valid I.D. and supporting documents (e.g., police
report, hospital record) within 48 hours, or the absence is unexcused.

7. For extracurricular activities, I must submit an official notice from the requiring office at least 24 hours prior to the session, or
the absence is unexcused.

8. I must notify the professor via email or the course platform within 24 hours of any absence, or it will be marked unexcused.

grade and referral to the Discipline Office.

3. During online exams, I must keep my camera on (if required) and refrain from suspicious behavior (e.g., looking away
excessively or communicating with others). Violation will lead to confiscation of my exam and a score of 0.

C. Submission/Completion of Requirements

1. I am required to complete all major exams, quizzes, and assignments as scheduled in the online course platform. Failure to
complete any major exam or quiz, including special exams, will result in a 0% grade for that component (not 60%).

2. For other requirements (e.g., reports, papers), I must submit them via the designated platform by the agreed deadline. Late
submissions may incur a grade deduction or non-acceptance altogether, and non-submission will result in a 0% grade.

assigned materials in advance to prepare for synchronous discussions and exams.

2. I am responsible for retaining digital copies of graded exams, assignments, and feedback provided through the course platform
for grade clarification purposes.

3. I will not allow unauthorized individuals to access our online class sessions or platform. Violation will result in my being marked
absent for that session.

4. I may use gadgets (e.g., laptops, phones) for class purposes only. During exams, non-essential devices or applications must be
off or inaccessible. Violation (e.g., using a phone during an exam) will result in a 0 grade and potential confiscation of
submitted work.

5. I will keep my microphone muted unless speaking and my camera on (if required) during synchronous sessions. Non-
compliance may lead to being marked absent or removed from the session.

6. I understand that students achieving a weighted average above 98% in the preliminary term will earn a 100% final exam grade
