ABSTRACT

The aim of the project is to propose a methodology for analysing the data
using PowerBI. PowerBI is an environment for business analytics,
predictive analytics, data mining, text mining and machine learning. In
this project, we have downloaded PowerBI and an open dataset from
kaggle.com and we have also used excel to show about sales distribution
in USA which will show some analysis by means of charts provided by
PowerBI.
In this project we describe how tools like PowerBI can be used to extract
information from raw data.To contribute to the success of a business by
utilizing data analysis techniques, specifically focusing on time series
analysis, to provide valuable insights and accurate sales forecasting.
INTRODUCTION

In today’s data-driven world, businesses must leverage data for informed


decision-making. A Sales Dashboard is key for visualizing performance
metrics and KPIs in real-time, helping businesses track growth, identify
trends, and enhance strategies.
Meanwhile, Sales Forecasting predicts future sales based on historical
data, improving planning and resource allocation. Using the "Store Sales
Dashboard" dataset, we apply time series forecasting to project sales for
the next 15 days, enabling businesses to anticipate demand, optimize
inventory, and streamline staffing.
Dataset:

• Here we imported dataset name “Store Sales Dataset” from kaggle
available on google.
Import ,Transform and Clean:

• Identify the KPIs, design an intuitive and visually appealing


dashboard, add interactive visualizations and filtering
Data Values replacement in Dataset:

• The "Replaced Value" operation modifies the dataset by replacing
certain values in the columns, which is often done to standardize or
correct erroneous data. In this case, the operation replaces any
• instance of "#N/A" with "0" to ensure clean, usable data for further
analysis and visualization.

• A new column, AvgDelivery Days, has been created in the
dataset. This column calculates the average delivery days by using
the DATEDIFF function, which computes the difference between
delivery, helping to analyze delivery performance across products.
Removal of Row from Dataset:

• Unnecessary rows have been removed from the dataset. The
Remove Columns step eliminates irrelevant or empty columns,
streamlining the data and ensuring only essential information is
retained for analysis. This step improves data quality, making it
more manageable and relevant for further visualization and
forecasting tasks.
Charts:
Provide valuable insights to business entities regarding the effectiveness
of their sales strategies through visualization and charts. Leverage
historic data and apply time series generate sales forecasts for next 15
days.

Sales DashBoard
This is Dashboard for Sales that shows charts representing payment
mode,region and segment of sales.It shows orders received,sales and
profit gained,filters,legends and shows map of USA.We used Donut
charts,line charts and filter chart,etc to represent,analysis and visualize
data.

Leverage historic data and apply time series generate sales forecasts for

CONCLUSION:
We have incorporated data analysis techniques, specializing in time
series analysis, to deliver valuable insights, accurate sales forecasting,
and interactive dashboard creation, driving business success.
