Topic/Title: Transforming E-commerce into Utilizing the use of Online Shopping Waste and
Broken Plates
Reasons: Why did you choose this title? What is the reason behind? Explain using 5 to 6 sentences.
• The growing issue of plastic garbage in our community, is a result of popularity of online shopping.
The materials employed in the packing to protect the products during shipping accounted for a
significant amount of this waste.
• Online shopping waste is added to the waste in our community that causes increase in waste
pollution which is bad to our health and other living things. We want to contribute in achieving a
solution to the problem brought by the online shopping waste.
• Lastly, turning this shopping waste into hollow blocks could lessen the use of raw materials on
making the hollow blocks.
• This study aims to lessen plastic pollution in our community by turning shopping waste into the
production of blocks, potentially reducing environmental or community impact and keeping waste
out of landfills.
• Show how waste can be creatively repurposed and encourages students and community members
to think about innovative ways to address environmental issues.
• This study will help people lower the costs of hollow block production. Using shopping waste
material could lower the cost of making hollow blocks and reduce expenses related to waste
disposal. This makes recycling more practical and could lead to more affordable building materials.
Research/Topic Gap: In case of replication or repetition, state what will be the difference of your study
from the previous studies conducted? Such as innovation or change in the variables, materials and
processes, experimentation methods or research locale.
• Despite increased interest in sustainable construction materials, the potential use of retail waste and
broken plates in hollow block making is still underexplored. Current research is mostly focused on
recycling traditional resources such as slag and plastic trash. However, the distinct qualities of
ceramic plates and non-biodegradable shopping waste specifically packaging present untapped
opportunities for improving hollow block qualities.
2. To determine the acceptability of hollow blocks made of shopping waste and broken plates in terms of:
a. Durability
b. Flexural strength
c. Compressive strength
