How to Configure Digital Signature and Sign a PDF

Dataset
This document list the steps to setup a digital signature and sign a PDF dataset.

Install Adobe extension through TEM ExtensionsContent and Document Management

Launch Adobe, select Edit Preferences and ensure Enable Protected Mode at startup and
Enable Enhanced Security are unchecked.

Unrestricted
Open a generic PDF and create a digital signature. You will need to create the digital signature
first time for this computer:
1. Select Fill & Sign
2. Select Work with Certificates
3. Select Sign with certificate

Select drag New Signature Rectangle

Drag two corners of the rectangle

Select the New PKCS#12 digital ID file Next

Enter you information Next

Create a password Finish

In TC RAC select the PDF you want to sign and then select File>Sign Document

Now it checks out the dataset and opens the PDF in Adobe Reader >OK

1. Select Fill & Sign
2. Select Work with Certificates
3. Select Sign with certificate

It will ask you now for the password to sign the document.>Sign

Go back to the RAC and you will see there is now a Signed By relation on the PDF
