ASSIGNMENT

F-BF.b.4: I can find the inverse of a linear function.

Find the inverse of the orignal relation.

The functions f(x) = x and g(x) = - x are their own

inverses. Graph each function on a graphing calculator g^-1(x)= - x - 2
and 5
explain why this is true.

Determine algebraically if the two functions are

inverses of one another.

f^-1(x)= 2x -3
hog(x)=x, g(x)=x both 5
outputs are, x, So f(x)and g(x) are
inverses of each other

h(x)=3/(2)x-25. g(x)=2/(3)x-8/3 x=-29

h 2/(3)x-8/3 hog(x)=x-29

Find the inverse relation.

The graph of f(x) is shown. On the same axis graph and label the inverse of f(x). State the domain and range

of the original relation and the inverse relation.
