AFCAT Preparation Plan

Here's a detailed AFCAT Preparation Plan considering your exam is


on 22nd February 2025.
The plan is divided into phases: foundational study, advanced
practice, and revision.

Phase 1: Foundation (Dec 16 - Jan 15)


Focus on understanding the syllabus and mastering basic concepts.

1. Syllabus Coverage
(a) General Awareness (GA):
Topics: History, Geography, Polity, Current Affairs, Sports, Defence,
Science.
Plan:
- Spend 1 hour daily.
- Refer to Lucent's General Knowledge and monthly current affairs
compilations (e.g., Vision IAS).
- Dedicate Sundays to revise all covered topics.

(b) Verbal Ability in English:


Topics: Grammar, Vocabulary, Comprehension,
Synonyms/Antonyms.
Plan:
- Spend 1 hour daily practicing grammar rules and vocabulary.
- Use Word Power Made Easy for vocabulary.
(c) Numerical Ability:
Topics: Profit/Loss, Time & Work, Ratios, Percentages, SI/CI.
Plan:
- Allocate 1.5 hours daily for theory and practice.
- Practice from RS Aggarwal Quantitative Aptitude.

(d) Reasoning and Military Aptitude:


Topics: Spatial Ability, Verbal/Non-verbal Reasoning.

2. Physical Fitness

Phase 2: Advanced Practice (Jan 16 - Feb 10)


Combine theory with regular practice.
