1.6 Navigation Equipment Alarm Setting

1.6.1 Outline
When alarms from navigation equipment (such as radar, ECDIS, etc.) connect to BNWAS, set alarm
group name /alarm name, and assign input and output ports.
Navigation alarms are set with combining 3 kinds of alarm signals, which are alarm inputs from
equipment (1~24 points), input alarm acknowledgements (ACK input) from equipment and output
alarm acknowledgements (ACK output) from BNWAS.
When using option units, BNWAS can be expand until contact input 64 ports (NQA-2290: 2 units),
contact output 24 ports (NQB-1029: 1 unit). JCX-152 (LCD display type) can be set alarms, which
consist 27 alarm groups with each group registering 24 points alarms. JCX-151 (LED display type) can
be set alarms, which consist 2 alarm groups with each group registering 24 points alarms.
Navigation equipment and connection example is shown the system connection diagram below. At the
following setting procedure is explained basically with this connection diagram.
