Steps to Upgrade Firmware & LPDC for HP MFP

1. Download firmware from following link and save in the thumbdrive before go onsite for deployment 

Download LPDC from following link and save in the thumbdrive before go onsite for deployment 
https://activation.jamanagement.hp.com/redirect?ReturnUrl=%2F

2. Plug in thumbdrive at the printer > Press on button HP logo > enter Administrator and select
Download

3. At the printer screen, select USB Thumbdrive

4. Select file > OK and the file will start transferring


5. After downloading completed, select continue

6. Wait until finish loading

7. Go to Initial Setup and configure setting as below:


Language  English
Location  Malaysia
Date Format  DD MMM, YYYY 24 hours
Auto Send  Disable
Print from USB  Disable
8. The firmware version and printer info can be retrieved from Reports > Configuration Page

9. Once LPDC had been successfully the last 2 digits of the printer model would change based on client’s
requirement 

In Configuration page under LPDC will show Configured (no. of time configured), if license speed yet to
upgrade LPDC will show Not Configured
