MACRO:

Group of tasks assigned against a key-Combination (the Macro key) and/or a Name (the Macro name).

By Defining a macro, one can automate tasks such as text formatting, applying of styles, content insertion,
performing Complex operations and many such

Benefits: We define a macro once only and use & utilize as many times as required. And on execution, the set
of tasks got Encapsulated in the form of Macro happens at one go and the same can be applied on need for no.
of times.

– An exercise of merit & Efficiency; increase in productivity

RECORDING A MACRO:

 View  Macros  Record Macro (Macro window appears)


a) issue Macro name
b) Click on Keyboard button  Assign Key combination (say Alt + Ctrl + Num. 1)  click on
Assign button  Close
 Go on Assigning Tasks you want to include for the Macro
 On completion of assignment of tasks  View  Macros  Stop recording
Now, The MACRO got created.

EXECUTING A MACRO:
A Macro can be executed by way of assigned Macro name or Key combination.
a) By means of Macro name: View  Macro  View Macro  Choose the Macro name
you wanna execute from the produced list  Run
b) By way of Key combination: Press the Key combination you’ve assigned
