FIRST PAGE OF REPORT


The first page of the report should contain essential details to ensure proper
identification of the document. The information required includes:

UNIVERSITY: INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, VIETNAM NATIONAL


UNIVERSITY, HA NOI.
FACULTY: Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
REPORT TITLE: The specific title of the report.
STUDENT DETAILS:
Student's Name: The full name of the student.
Student ID: The official student identification number.
Class: The class or cohort the student belongs to.
Supervisor: The name of the supervisor guiding the project.
Date of Submission: The official submission date of the report.

GENERAL GUIDELINES
To ensure clarity and academic integrity, the following guidelines must be adhered to:
1. Figures and Tables: Use clear and well-labeled figures and tables to illustrate
key points.
2. Proper Citation: Cite all references properly to avoid plagiarism.
3. No Plagiarism: Avoid directly copying from sources without citation.
4. Conciseness and Accuracy: Ensure that the content is concise, accurate, and
logically structured.
5. Proofreading: Review the report thoroughly for grammar and spelling errors
before submission.
These guidelines ensure that the report maintains high academic and professional
standards.

REPORT FORMATTING
- Paper Size: A4 (210mm x 297mm)
- Margins: Left: 3 cm, Right: 2 cm, Top: 2.5 cm, Bottom: 2.5 cm.
- Font: Times New Roman, size 13, Line spacing: 1.5 lines.
- Text alignment: Justified. Page numbering: Bottom-right corner, starting from the
main content
- Citation format: IEEE or APA (as per instructor’s requirement)

REPORT FRONT PAGE


1. Abstract (Max 300 words): A concise summary of the project, covering:
• Objectives: The primary goal of the study. Methodology: The approach and
techniques used. Key Findings: The major results obtained. Conclusions: The
overall outcome and implications.
2. Table of Contents
• A structured list of sections and subsections.
• Sections should be numbered using the format 1, 1.1, 1.1.1.
• Each section should include the corresponding page number.
3. List of Figures and Tables (if applicable)
• A list of all figures and tables used in the report.
• Each figure and table should be referenced with its page number

CHAPTER 01:
Chapter 1 introduces the project by providing background information, problem
definition, objectives, and an overview of the research approach.
Key Components of Chapter 1
1. Background and Motivation
• Explain the context of the project.
• Provide background information on the subject.
• Justify why this topic is significant and relevant.
2. Problem Statement
• Clearly define the problem being addressed.
• Explain why it is important to solve this problem.
• Provide any supporting evidence or real-world relevance.
3. Objectives and Scope
• Identify the key objectives of the project.

• Define the scope (limitations and boundaries) of the study.
• Highlight what aspects will be covered and what will not.
4. Research Approach
• Give a brief overview of how the study will be conducted.
• Mention the research methodologies that will be applied.
• Outline the structure of the report (brief summary of each chapter).
Importance of Chapter 1
❖ Chapter 1 serves as the foundation for the entire report.
❖ It helps the reader understand why the study is being conducted.
❖ It provides clarity on the research problem and objectives.
❖ It sets expectations for the rest of the document.

CHAPTER 02: THEORETICAL BACKGROUND/LITERATURE REVIEW


Purpose: To establish the theoretical foundation for the study.
Content:
• Summarization of relevant theories and concepts.
• Review of previous research and key findings.
• Proper citation of books, journals, and other academic sources.

CHAPTER 03: METHODOLOGY


Purpose: To describe the research methods and procedures used.
Content:
• Explanation of data collection techniques.
• Description of tools, software, and equipment.
• Outline of experimental procedures (if applicable).

CHAPTER 04: RESULTS AND DISCUSSION


Purpose: To present and analyse the research findings.
Content:
• Detailed presentation of results using graphs, tables, and charts.
• Interpretation of results in relation to the objectives.
• Discussion of how findings compare to theoretical expectations or previous
studies.
• Analysis of factors that may have influenced the results

CHAPTER 05: CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Purpose: To summarize key findings and suggest future work.
Content:
• Recap of main findings.
• Evaluation of whether the research objectives were met.
• Suggestions for future studies and potential applications.
• Discussion of any limitations of the study.
