FIXITUP

Description:
In the FixItup event, participants will be tasked with identifying and correcting errors in pre-
written code within a limited time frame. The challenge is designed to test problem-solving
skills, knowledge of programming concepts, and debugging efficiency. This event is open to
all who are passionate about coding and eager to prove their skills in resolving coding issues.

Rules:
• Participants: Only one participant per entry.
• Programming Languages: Debugging tasks will be provided in C, Python or Java.
• Time Limit: Participants have 30 minutes to debug the code.
• Round: The event consists of only one round.
• Questions: Participants will be required to debug 5 questions during the event.
• Submission: Debugged code must be submitted within 30 minutes. Late submissions
will not be accepted.
• Disqualification: Any form of cheating or use of unauthorized resources will lead to
disqualification.
• Judging: The winner will be decided based on the number of correct bug fixes and
the efficiency of the solutions.
• Final Decision: The decisions made by the judges or event organizers are final.

Evaluation Criteria:
• Number of bugs: The primary factor will be the total number of bugs correctly
identified and fixed in the code.
• Code Functionality: The corrected code must run without errors and produce the
expected output.
• Time Taken: In case of a tie in the number of bug fixed, the participant who submits
the solution first will be ranked higher.
• Code Efficiency: Solutions that optimize performance and avoid unnecessary
complexity may be given additional consideration.
• Code Quality: Clean, readable, and well-structed code with appropriate comments
will be rated more favorably.
