Script for the Pinning and Candle Lighting Event for Pre-Service Teachers

Theme: Empowering Pre-Service Teachers through Immersion and Integration

Emcee 1: Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. On behalf of Osias Colleges, Inc., it is our
pleasure to welcome you to this momentous occasion—the Pinning and Candle Lighting
Ceremony for Pre-Service Teachers. Today, we celebrate the dedication, passion, and hard work
of our future educators as they step forward to embrace the noble calling of teaching.

Emcee 2: Indeed, today is a day of inspiration and recognition as we gather under the theme,
"Empowering Pre-Service Teachers through Immersion and Integration." This marks a
new chapter in the lives of our pre-service teachers, and we are honored to have you here to
witness this significant milestone. Let us now commence with our program.

Emcee 1: To begin, let us welcome the Processional, featuring our pre-service teachers, their
proud parents, our faculty members, and our esteemed Guest Speaker.

(Music plays as participants proceed to their seats)

Emcee 2: Please remain standing for the Entrance of Colors, a moment to honor our nation and
its symbols.

(Entrance of Colors takes place)

Emcee 1: Let us now give honor for the singing of our National Anthem, to be led by Mr. Jhon
Yuri B. Guadez, Vice President of the G.O.L.D. Teachers.

(National Anthem is sung)

Emcee 2: Let us remain in a solemn posture as we bow our heads in prayer, to be led by Mrs.
Revilen G. Bondoc, a third-year BEED student.

(Prayer is delivered)

Emcee 1: Thank you, Ms. Bondoc, for setting the tone for this meaningful event. You may now
take your seats. “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams a famous
line from Eleanor Roosevelt.”

Emcee 2: Individuals who have a clear idea of what they want to achieve and a strong belief in
their ability to make it happen are the ones who will be most successful in creating the future of
their desire.
To formally welcome us all, may we call on Mrs. Rachel C. Iraola, CPA, Vice President for
Administration, for the Welcome Address. Let us give her a warm round of applause.

(Welcome Address is delivered)

Emcee 2: Thank you, Ma’am Iraola, for your heartfelt words of welcome. Your message truly
sets the stage for today’s event.

Emcee 1: Now, let us hear an inspiring message from our OCI President, Atty. Jesus A.
Concepcion. Please join me in welcoming him with a round of applause.

(Message is delivered)

Emcee 2: Thank you, Atty. Concepcion, for your uplifting words and for continuously
supporting our pre-service teachers. Let’s give him another round of applause.

Emcee 1: At this point, may we invite Ms. Ana C. Garcia, MAEd, Dean of the College of
Education, to introduce our Guest Speaker. Let’s give her a big hand as she comes forward.

Emcee 2: Thank you, Ma’am. Ladies and gentlemen, it is our honor to welcome our Guest
Speaker, Dr. Carmela T. Perez, Education Supervisor for Kindergarten, Inclusive Education,
and SPED. Let us give her a warm round of applause.

(Guest Speaker’s Message)

Emcee 1: Thank you, Dr. Perez, for your inspiring and insightful words. Your message resonates
deeply with our future educators. Let us express our gratitude with another round of applause.

Emcee 2: We now proceed to one of the highlights of today’s ceremony—the Pinning


Ceremony. This symbolic act marks the official recognition of our pre-service teachers as they
embark on their practicum journey. This ceremony is a testament to their dedication and
preparation to serve as beacons of knowledge and inspiration. We invite our esteemed
supervisors, Dr. Lilia M. Santiago, Ms. Ana C. Garcia, and our Guest Speaker, Dr. Carmela T.
Perez to join us here on stage.

Emcee 1: We would also like to invite Mrs. Rosalinda C. Gaite here on stage for the distribution
of pins of Bachelor of Elementary Education.

Emcee 2: Now, we would like to invite Sir Nelson G. Calderon for the distribution of pins of
Bachelor of Secondary Education. Thank you, Mrs. Gaite for your guidance, you may now take
your seat.

Emcee 1: Congratulations to all our pre-service teachers! You have taken an important step
forward in your teaching journey. To affirm your commitment to the profession, let us now
proceed to the Pledge of Commitment, to be led by Ms. Ma. Ayisha M. Ibanez, President of the
Practice Teachers’ Organization. Let us give her a round of applause.

(Pledge of Commitment is recited)

Emcee 2: Thank you, Ms. Ibanez, for leading the pledge with such conviction. At this moment,
we move to a meaningful part of our program, the Candle Lighting Ceremony. This act
symbolizes the light of knowledge and the guidance that our pre-service teachers will bring to
their future students. As they light their candles, they will sing their song, “The Journey.”

(Candle Lighting Ceremony takes place)

Emcee 1: Such a beautiful and heartwarming moment. Let us give a round of applause to our
pre-service teachers for this symbolic step forward.

Emcee 2: As we move towards the conclusion of our program, let us hear the Closing Remarks
from Dr. Lilia M. Santiago, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Development. Please
welcome her with a round of applause.

(Closing Remarks are delivered)

Emcee 1: Thank you, Dr. Santiago, for your meaningful message. Your words are a fitting
conclusion to today’s ceremony. Let us give her another round of applause.

Emcee 2: Before we end, let us not forget to express gratitude to the people who have been with
our pre-service teachers every step of the way. Let us now present a Tribute to Parents.

(Tribute to Parents takes place) (After the song, tell the everyone to take their seats.)
Emcee 1: Thank you, parents, for your unwavering support and sacrifices. Your guidance has
been instrumental in shaping these future educators. Let us give them a big round of applause.

Emcee 2: And now, to bring our event to a close, let us join in singing the OCI Hymn. May we
request everyone to stand.

Emcee 1: Before we end this ceremony, we would like to announce that an Induction Program
for Pre-Service Teachers will follow. This includes a Seminar Proper on key topics:

1. Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers, by Mr. Nelson G. Calderon.


2. Matatag Curriculum, by Mrs. Rosalinda C. Gaite.
3. Classroom-Based Action Research, by Mr. Rein Mark F. Castro, who will also
moderate the Forum.

Emcee 2: Thank you for joining us today and making this event memorable. Let us give a round
of applause for everyone who contributed to the success of this program.
