Instructions
ANSWER FOUR QUESTIONS.

1.a) Define the term physics (1 mark)


b) write down any six branches of physics you know and each where it is
applied in daily life (6 marks)
c) with relevant examples, explain the importance of physics to our
societies and in daily life (10 marks).

2 a) what is meant by the term laboratory? (2 marks)


b) Explain 6 rules and regulations of laboratory (6 marks)
c) identity 5 unsafe behavior done by learners in physics laboratory in our
daily life (5mks)

3 you are in S.1, in your every term there is career speech day where class
get representstive on that day ,if you are selected to be one of the
representstives pthat day in your class ,write down a five minute speech
that you would deliver with the help of careers in physics , make sure that
your speech is attractive and can make some feel challenged to take up a
career in physics fields (15 mark).

4. Residents of christ the king community rely on selling agricultural


produce such as beans ground nuts ,maize amongst themselves for
domestic needs. The community has a challenge of measuring the exact
amount of produce to be sold to each other due to lack of acess to
weighing scale. The community does a lot of estimations in measuring the
produce for sale and as a result a lot losses are made. The community is
blessed with 10 kgs mass bought to them by their member parliament.
Task
(a) Using the available materials, discuss how you would help such a
community to measure their produce using the 10kg mass. (10 marks)
(b) Suggest the ways that they should undertake to increase their produce
in a season. (05 marks)
