Writing Production Section 40%

TASK: Social Network Profile Situation:

You are participating in a summer immersion program and your professor asked you to write a short
composition introducing yourself. Some brief information about your skills and talents along with a
short description of your academic life is required. You should include some few ideas about your
academic interests. The composition will be posted on the institution’s social network.

Hello! I'm Samuel Restrepo, a student in the Faculty of Communications at the University of Antioquia, majoring in
Communications. I'll be sharing with you about this university life, with its good and not-so-good aspects.

I've always been fascinated by how stories can influence people and change perspectives. Communication is a
powerful tool, and I wanted to learn how to use it in the best way possible. The University of Antioquia has a very
solid communications program, so it was a natural choice for me.

From a young age, I have been surrounded by music. My family is very musical, and there were always instruments
everywhere. As for fashion, I have always liked how clothing can be a form of expression. I think both fields allow
for a lot of creativity, and I would love to merge them in my future projects.

Yes, I am currently working on a clothing line that combines elements of urban culture with touches of classic
elegance. Additionally, I am collaborating with some musician friends to launch a series of events where we can
showcase both our music and our fashion creations.

I'm not going to lie; it can sometimes be quite challenging. But I think the key is organization and passion. When
you truly love what you do, you find a way to make everything work. I also have a great group of friends and
colleagues who support me and help me stay focused.
I would tell them not to be afraid to follow their passions. Sometimes, it can seem overwhelming, but every little
step counts. Find something you are truly passionate about and work hard at it. Surround yourself with people who
support you and don't be afraid to take risks.

My days are usually quite busy. I typically start with an early morning class, followed by coffee with some friends to
discuss projects. Then, I spend time in the library or studio working on my assignments and personal projects. In the
afternoon, I usually have meetings or collaborations with other students, especially those interested in fashion and
music.

Definitely, the people I've met. The University of Antioquia has an incredibly diverse and talented community. I also
love having access to so many resources, from recording studios to design workshops.

Additionally, I love participating in the cultural and musical festivals that the university organizes. It's a great
opportunity to showcase our work and connect with other students and professionals. I also really enjoy the
entrepreneur fairs, where I can learn and share ideas about how to start and manage a business.

The university has provided me with an invaluable network of contacts and mentors. I've learned a lot about project
management and marketing, which is essential for any business. Moreover, being surrounded by so many innovative
and creative ideas motivates me to keep pushing forward with my own projects.

After graduating, I want to focus on establishing my own brand that combines fashion and music. I have many ideas
about how to create events that merge fashion shows with live concerts. I also want to work on collaborations with
other artists and designers to create something unique and exciting.

In order to be successful, make sure you comply with the following guidelines:
