Viva Questions & Sample Answers - Project on Consumer Attitude Towards Blinkit

1. What is consumer attitude and why is it important for Blinkit?

Answer: Consumer attitude refers to the beliefs, feelings, and behavioral intentions that a person

has towards a brand or product. For Blinkit, understanding consumer attitude is essential to evaluate

user satisfaction and improve services like delivery, pricing, and product variety.

2. What research methodology did you use and why?

Answer: I used a descriptive research methodology, as it allows the study of characteristics and

behaviors of consumers without influencing them. It helps in understanding the current opinions and

satisfaction levels of Blinkit users.

3. What is the difference between primary and secondary data?

Answer: Primary data is first-hand data collected by the researcher through surveys or interviews.

Secondary data is already existing data from journals, websites, or previous research. In my project,

I used primary data collected through a structured questionnaire.

4. Is your data finite or infinite?

Answer: My data is finite because I collected it from a specific number of respondents - 51 people. It

is countable and limited.

5. What sampling method did you use? What are its advantages and disadvantages?

Answer: I used convenience sampling. It is easy, quick, and cost-effective but may not accurately

represent the entire population, which can affect generalization.

6. What were the key findings of your project?

Answer: Most respondents were young adults and female. People liked Blinkit for fast delivery and

convenience. However, some had concerns about pricing and customer care. Most users were likely

to recommend the app.

7. How does Blinkit stand out in the quick-commerce industry?

Answer: Blinkit offers fast delivery within minutes, a user-friendly app, and a wide product range. Its

integration with Zomato gives it a stronger logistics network.

8. How would you improve Blinkit based on your findings?

Answer: I would suggest offering more discounts, improving customer support, expanding product

variety (especially local and organic items), and adding features like better search filters and COD

on more orders.

9. Why do you think pricing was a concern for users?

Answer: Because a large percentage of respondents were students or young adults who are

price-sensitive. Competitive pricing and promotions can improve user retention.

10. What makes your project relevant in today's time?

Answer: With the rise of quick-commerce post-COVID, understanding consumer attitudes helps

platforms like Blinkit adapt and innovate to meet customer expectations effectively.

11. What is the scope of your project?

Answer: The project focuses on consumer awareness, satisfaction, usage patterns, and

recommendations for Blinkit. It also considers demographics like age and gender.

12. What limitations did you face in your study?

Answer: Small sample size, limited geography, convenience sampling, and short data collection time

may have affected the diversity and depth of insights.

13. What did you learn personally from this project?

Answer: I learned how to conduct research, analyze data, and interpret consumer behavior. It also

helped me understand real-world applications of marketing concepts.

14. What inspired you to choose Blinkit for your project?

Answer: I chose Blinkit because it represents a growing sector in India-quick commerce. Its rapid

expansion, technology-driven model, and relevance in daily life make it an interesting subject to

study consumer behavior.

15. What challenges did you face during data collection?

Answer: The main challenges were limited access to a diverse audience and the short duration for

collecting responses. Some respondents were also hesitant to fill out the form.

16. How reliable is your data?

Answer: While the data offers useful insights, it is limited by the small sample size and non-random

sampling method. Hence, while it's indicative, it's not fully generalizable.

17. How does Zomato's acquisition affect Blinkit's operations?

Answer: Zomato's acquisition gives Blinkit access to a larger logistics network and customer base,

improving its delivery efficiency and expanding its reach.

18. What do you mean by customer satisfaction in this context?

Answer: Customer satisfaction refers to how well Blinkit meets or exceeds the expectations of its

users, particularly in terms of delivery speed, pricing, product availability, and customer service.

19. What do the customer suggestions indicate?

Answer: They indicate areas where Blinkit can improve, like reducing prices, offering more

discounts, enhancing customer service, and expanding product variety.

20. How would you design a follow-up study on this topic?

Answer: I would expand the sample size, include respondents from more cities, use random

sampling, and maybe compare Blinkit with its competitors like Zepto and Instamart for deeper

insights.
