Session: 2024-25 (Even) Semester: VI

Subject Name: Antenna & Wave Propagation Subject Code: BEC-603

Assignment No.-2 (CO2)

Submission Date: ________________

1. Discuss:
(a) Electric field intensity.
(b) Nature of magnetic flux of lines.
2. Illustrate Maxwell’s equation for electric field.
3. Discuss equation of continuity and its application.
4. Demonstrate the magnetic field due to a finite line conductor having current I.
5. Demonstrate dielectric–dielectric and dielectric free space boundary conditions for magnetic
fields.
6. Demonstrate boundary conditions for electric field intensity and electric flux density for
various types of medium.
7. Evaluate electric filed intensity on a point P due to semi-infinite lines.
8. A circular ring of radius a carry a uniform charge ρL C/m and is placed in the xy-plane with
axis same as the z-axis. Demonstrate:
(a) The electric field due to this ring at a height h along its axis.
(b) What value of h gives the maximum value of electric field?
If the total charge on the ring is Q. Find electric as radius of the ring tends to zero.
