GUIDELINES FOR ACCESS TO DYDC SERVICES

1. Rationale

DYDC-FM, the campus radio of the university, operates with a primary objective of
promoting the development agenda. It serves as a valuable platform for DevCom
interns, offering them a hands-on experience in radio broadcasting. Additionally, it
functions as a training ground for students from various degree programs, enabling
them to create and manage their practicum or OJT programs.

Beyond its broadcasting role, DYDC-FM provides essential services such as audio
recording for radio plugs, drama, voice-overs, and more. However, to maintain
responsible and efficient usage of these services, it is crucial to establish a
comprehensive set of guidelines. These guidelines are designed to ensure the
appropriate handling and optimum utilization of the station's resources, fostering a
productive and organized work environment.

2. Guidelines

2.1 Recording rates:

The applicable rates for recording services are as follows:

 Recording and editing of musical jingle: Php 300
 Radio drama: Php 500
 Radio Plug, straight announcements, and voice-over: Php 100
 For VSU-use and related activities: Free of charge with a letter request
from department head and college dean
 VSU students are entitled to a 50% discount

2.2 Requesting Recording Services:

2.2.1 Clients interested in availing of recording services should initiate the

process by obtaining a request form from DYDC-FM.

2.2.2. The client is required to complete the request form and submit it to
the recording technician for approval.

2.2.3. The recording technician will review the request and, upon approval
from the Station Manager, will log the client's name and schedule an
available date for the recording.

2.2.4. Once the date for recording is confirmed, the client is then directed
to the cash division for payment, presenting the approved request form
from DYDC-FM.

2.3 School-on-the-Air (SOA):

For School-on-the-Air (SOA), a formal contract specifying the agreed-

upon amount is essential. Both parties involved in the contract should
mutually agree on the terms and conditions, particularly the financial
arrangements, and ensure a clear understanding of the services to be
provided. This contract should outline the agreed payment amount and
other pertinent details to facilitate a smooth and a transparent transaction.
