Good morning ladies and gentlemen/ I’ like to greet everyone a lovely Wednesday morning! Isn’t this day
great? (Now why don’t you greet the person beside you a pleasant morning)
Thank you. Welcome to the Seminar on Global Strategies in Journal, Article and author citation. I know
we’ve anticipated long enough for this event since it was postposed and moved from its original
schedule wc was supposedly last Friday, but that day was declared a holiday that’s why we have this
event today.
Anyway, I’m sure that today’s event will be a fun-filled and worthwhile experience because this is a
perfect opportunity for all of us to keep ourselves updated of the research or journal trends , which I also
know will help us in our journey of professional development, especially to the faculties and researchers
who are here today.
At this point we shall give due recognition to the most important people of this event. They are primarily
the reason of this gathering. You might wonder who are this people, right? Well, I am referring to you.
This seminar wouldn’t be possible without your presence. So, let’s give ourselves a pat on the back for
coming here because surely attending the inset today is just the right decision you made. Thank you
maam and sir for your presence as our participant.
Since this event is deemed significant, let us officially commence our gathering today by asking the
divine intervention through a prayer which will be followed by the singing of the national anthem. Let us
all please stand.
WELCOME MESSAGE
Please take your seats. By the way, I am Kathleen, your moderator for this seminar. And on behalf of VSU,
I welcome you once again to our Seminar on Global Strategies in Journal, Article and author citation.
Now, to affirm the significance of this event, let us welcome on stage the ever-active and supportive
President of the Visayas State University, Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin for his welcome message. Let’s give him a
round of applause.
INTRODUCTION OF SPEAKER
Now, we know what we came here for, right? I assume we do. If someone would ask us why we are here,
we sure have a ready answer, right? Could you ask your seatmate why is he here for? …. Okay, well I was

and excited for the learnings that we are about to hear from our speaker. And speaking of, at thi
juncture, let us recognize and acknowledge our guest speaker whom we are overjoyed to have with us
today. May I call on Dr. Maria Juliet C. Ceniza, VP for Research, Extension, and Innovation to introduce
our resource person.

Now for our seminar proper, may I call on our guest speaker for today, Dr. Genaro V. Japos from the
Philippine Association of Institutions for Research Incorporated. A warm applause for Dr. Japos!
(Thank you so much for graciously reaching out to us today despite your hectic schedules.)
(we’ve learned so much from you today. No, it’s already lunch time. I’m sure some of you are already
hungry so let’s take a break first, and we will continue with the seminar after lunch.)

the delicious lunch. So I guess you are all ready now to take on the second part of today’s seminar.

Wow what an insightful day indeed! Why don’t we give ourselves a big hand for having this day.
(applause) We wouldn’t have done this successfully without our participants and of course our speaker
who spared their time attending this seminar. Thank you maam and sir, and Dr. Japos.
