Final Exam Practical

Install and configure the servers and clients according to the
details in the diagram above. Virtual machine names are the
same as the computer names. Note that the screenshots below
are samples to guide you. Include VM name with every
screenshot.

1. Install and configure the domain controller and place the


screenshot(s) below. [10]
2. Install and configure the dhcp server and place screenshot(s)

3. Join the domain client to the domain and place screenshots
below. [20]
4. Configure the file server and test file sharing on the domain
client. Screenshots should include all AD objects related info;
the shared folders created; the sharing tabs and security tabs
of each folder; the group policy mapped drive setting, the
mapped drives on the client; and a successful file access test.

On the file server, implement an appropriate file sharing


strategy following best practice principles. The HR department
requires a shared folder HR-SHARE-NNN and the IT department
requires a shared folder IT-SHARE-NNN. All employees should
be given modify access to their respective resources. For
example, Gurpreet from HR should have “MODIFY” access to
the HR department shared resources. Prince from IT should
have “MODIFY” access to the IT department shared resources.
Deploy a mapped drive to the shared folder using group policy.
Use your windows client to test file sharing for each employee.
