Designathon 2023 challenge
Conditions

 You can examine systems powered by renewable energy on the


internet to get ideas and then create your own design to turn them
into a portable product.

 You are free to choose any renewable energy method you'd like to
use.

 You decide on the system for growing crops and which method to
make it portable.

 The components of the project will be individually modelled by


team members and assembled.

 Each part of the design will be modelled from scratch with


Autodesk Fusion.
Submit your project
 Choose one representative for your team and submit your finalized project through this
Google Form:

 To submit, take the following actions:
1. Use the “Share Link” option in Fusion to get a link to the assembled 3D model, which
you will share in the Google Form
2. Get two rendered images that you will upload through the Google Form
3. Write a short summary explaining your project (recommended 2 – 3 paragraphs) that
you will enter in the Google Form.
Submitting  Submit your project by 18:00 GMT at the latest. Submissions made after this time will not be
considered by the jury.

Designathon project evaluation process
A jury consisting of Autodesk and industry representatives will evaluate
the project submissions to select three winning teams.

 Gift certificate in the value of $1,500.


Winner

 Gift certificate in the value of $1,000.


2nd place

 Gift certificate in the value of $500.


3rd place

We will announce the winning teams on 12 January 2024.

Look out for email announcements around that date.

 Creativity and uniqueness of your design.


Model integrity  40% weighting of total evaluation score.
and originality

 The number of parts and details used when modelling your design
– these choices will also impact the aesthetics and renders.
Detail Level  30% weighting of total evaluation score.

 The aesthetics of the design will be considered as part of the


evaluation.
Aesthetics  20% weighting of total evaluation score.

 The quality of the render created in Fusion will be evaluated.


 You should get two renders using the camera angle.
Render quality  10% weighting of total evaluation score.
