12. The angles of elevation of the top of a tower from Mike and Benzo are 320 and 270
respectively. If Mike and Benzo are on the opposite sides of the tower and the tower is
98m high, calculate the distance between them, giving the answer correct to the nearest
whole number. (6 marks)

13. The 4th term of a geometrical progression is 54 and the common ratio is 3.Calculate
the 9th term of the geometrical progression. (5 marks)

14. The distance of the chord from the centre of the circle is 4 cm. If the diameter of the
circle is 10 cm, calculate the length of the chord.

15. Figure 3 shows a cyclic quadrilateral ABCD.EC and ED are tangents to the circle
ABCD at C and D respectively. BCF and DAG are straight lines such that angle
𝐶𝐷𝐸 = 41° and angle 𝐸𝐶𝐹 = 62°.
