You may refer to the notes for guidelines.

Using the sample dataset and the guidelines provided, do the following,
• Reliability using Cronbach’s Alpha –
Calculate the Cronbach’s Alpha for each of the independent and dependent variable.

• Compute Variable

• Frequency and Mean Analysis-

Calculate the frequency for the demographic variables.
Calculate the mean and standard deviation for each of the independent and dependent
variable.

Note : Save the file with the mean value of the variables, the next few exercises
will require them.

Tutorial 10

Note: In the previous exercise you would have computed the mean for each
variable. The following exercise will be using the mean value in testing the
hypotheses.

You may refer to the notes for guidelines.

Using the sample dataset and the guidelines provided, do the following.
Test for differences- Independent t-test
Test the following hypothesis and interpret the findings:

H1: There is a significant difference in intention towards retirement planning with respect to
gender.

H2: There is a significant difference in attitude towards retirement with respect to gender.

H3: There is a significant difference in subjective norm towards retirement planning with
respect to gender.

H4: There is a significant difference in perceived behavioural control towards retirement

planning with respect to gender.

ethnicity.

H6: There is a significant difference in attitude towards retirement with respect to ethnicity.

H7: There is a significant difference in subjective norm towards retirement planning with
respect to ethnicity.

H8: There is a significant difference in perceived behavioural control towards retirement

planning with respect to ethnicity.

Tutorial 11

You may refer to the notes for guidelines.

Using the sample dataset and the guidelines provided, do the following,

Test the following hypothesis and interpret the findings

H9: There is a significant relationship between attitude towards retirement and intention
towards retirement planning.

H10: There is a significant relationship between subjective norm towards retirement planning
and intention towards retirement planning.

H11: There is a significant relationship between perceived behavioural control and intention
towards retirement planning.

Multiple regression

Test the following hypothesis and interpret the findings

H12: Attitude towards retirement, subjective norm towards retirement planning and
perceived behavioural control towards retirement planning have significant impact on
intention towards retirement planning.
