Introduction This document deals with how to install and how to use the macro
“Create3DAxialFluxMachine”. It will include the following topics:
• Macro definition: Create3DAxialFluxMachine
• Macro installation
1
Macros
Goal of the This macro intends to create a 3D axial flux machine, including the motor
macro geometry and mesh. Eleven modifiable parameters can be adjusted to build the
motor model. In each simulation model, only 3 stator slots and 2 rotor poles
will be considered. The physical regions will also be defined, including the
infinite box.

Macro installation
Installing a Once you have got a new macro (from a colleague or from the Altair web site
macro (https://altair.connect.com), you have to unzip it in the following directory:
• ~(Flux installation path)\flux\Extensions\Macros
Note For the standard installation, all the macros in Flux can be found in the
directory:
C:\Program Files\Altair\2020\flux\Extensions\Macros
Loading a The following steps show how to load and run a macro in Flux.
