BHSpline Lamination Equivalent Curve

This document provides instructions on how to install and use the BHSplineLaminationEquivalentCurve macro, which generates equivalent B(H) curves for laminated materials based on non-laminated data. It details the macro's purpose, installation path, and steps to call and run the macro within the Flux software. Additionally, it outlines the input requirements and expected output for creating a new laminated material with the equivalent B(H) curve.

Introduction This document explains how to install a macro and how to use the
BHSplineLaminationEquivalentCurve macro. The aim of this macro is to get
equivalent B(H) curves if materials are laminated and if we only have data for
non-laminated materials. It will include the following topics:
• Macro definition: BHSplineLaminationEquivalentCurve
• Install a macro

Macro definition: BHSplineLaminationEquivalentCurve

______________________________________________
Aim of the This macro is dedicated for creating equivalent B(H) curves if materials are
macro laminated. This macro only works for spline materials.

The interface of the macro includes the following points:

N° Meaning
1 Select a material for which you want to get the equivalent B(H)
curve
2 Select stacking factor

Then a new material with the equivalent B(H) curve will be created. The
name of this new material corresponds to the name of the original material
(non-laminated) for which the term “_LAMINATED” has been added.

The following theory is considered when creating the equivalent material.

This theory is explained in this paper: Analytical modeling of the airgap
magnetic field in Surface Permanent Magnet machines, based on selective
FEM magneto-static 2D Simulations – A. Di Gerlando, G. Foglia, M. Iachetti
and R. Perini
