The aim of this microproject is to design and develop a simple e-commerce web application
that provides a platform for users to explore and purchase skill development courses online.
The project focuses on enhancing practical knowledge of web development, database
management, and digital business models while promoting skill-based learning among
users. It also aims to help students understand how online businesses operate and how
technology can be used to empower individuals to gain and upgrade their skills through a
digital platform.
2.0 Rationale :
The E-commerce industry is growing rapidly and becoming a major platform for businesses
to sell products directly to customers. However, one of the most critical skills in this field is
the ability to identify trending products, analyze competition, and create optimized product
listings for platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho. This microproject is designed to
develop practical business and digital skills related to product selection, pricing strategy,
and content creation for product listings. It aims to provide hands-on knowledge of how
products are researched, priced, positioned, and listed online, which is essential for future
digital entrepreneurs and professionals working in marketing, sales, or retail.
The aim of this project is to develop business and digital marketing skills through real-
world research and simulation of product listings in e-commerce platforms. The objectives
include:
A group of three members was formed to work on this micro-project. After researching
various topics, we selected Skill Development as our micro-project topic through group
discussion The student explored resources like YouTube tutorials, blogs from platforms
like JungleScout, Oberlo, and Sellergyan, which focus on product hunting strategies,
keyword optimization, and best practices for product listing. Practical techniques such
as using Google Trends, Amazon Bestsellers, and competitor analysis were reviewed to
understand real-time demand. Product descriptions from top listings were examined for
structure, formatting, and keyword usage. These insights formed the base for this
project’s methodology and execution.
Used Amazon’s Best Seller page, Google Trends, and Flipkart categories.
Evaluated reviews, ratings, and pricing trends.
Identified 5 high-potential products per niche.
Competitor Analysis
Listing Simulation
1.0 Rationale :
In today’s digital age, e-commerce has transformed the way businesses operate, and
understanding its mechanics has become essential for aspiring entrepreneurs and
professionals. The ability to identify trending products, analyze customer demand, study
competitors, and create optimized product listings is a crucial business skill. With platforms
like Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho becoming go-to marketplaces, there is a growing
demand for individuals who can efficiently conduct product research and develop high-
converting listings. This microproject focuses on bridging the gap between theoretical
business knowledge and real-world e-commerce practices by offering hands-on learning in
market research, product positioning, and digital marketing content creation. By simulating
real product listings, students gain practical experience that can directly benefit them in
starting their own online business or working in digital marketing, freelancing, and startup
ecosystems. Thus, this project is aligned with the goals of Skill India by promoting self-
reliance and employability through practical business skills.
Our subject teacher guided us throughout the process, helping us debug errors and improve
the structure of our code. Based on suggestions, we made design enhancements and
validated inputs to ensure smooth user interaction. After successful testing, the final output
was documented, soft copy verified, and a hard copy was submitted on the deadline day. A
demo of the project was also presented to the subject teacher for evaluation.
E-commerce, or electronic commerce, refers to the buying and selling of goods or services
over the internet. With the growth of online marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho,

pricing strategies.
Use design and content tools such as Canva, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office to enhance presentation and
branding.

and learning help solidify concepts and skills.
How to implement: Set aside specific hours each day or week for learning. Consistency in
practice, even in small doses, makes a big difference over time.
Why it’s important: Skills are best learned through practice and real-life application. This
reinforces the theoretical concepts and makes you more comfortable applying them.
How to implement: After learning theory, try applying what you’ve learned in projects. For
example, if you’re learning coding, build simple websites or apps to practice.
Why it’s important: Having a mentor or coach can provide personalized guidance,
feedback, and advice that accelerates your learning curve.
How to implement: Seek out mentors within your field of interest, whether they are
professionals, educators, or even online communities. Platforms like LinkedIn, or
specialized forums, can help connect you to experts.
