vehicles. Example here .

14. Unblock blocked-while-driving functions- Done. Waiting to confirm.

Description: The nhtsa adaptations allow a certain number or additional android auto or carplay
screens. Much of those are controlled by the calculated speed on the phone. The MMI screens can
all be fixed with the below instructions (VCDS). No adverse effects so far. Allow all screens while car
is moving:

You MUST open the hood to bypass the firewall prior to opening the controller. If you fail to do this
you must completely power down the car (and wait for that to happen) before you can try again.

15. Adjust Consumption in DIS - Not confirmed

Description. This allows you to calculate your own mileage based on the pump and your odometer
and then correct the DIS reading.

Sample 1 - Calculation based on volume per distance (e.g. l/100km):


DIS: 9,3 l/100 km.
Real: 9,8 l/100 km. (100 * 9,8 / 9,3 = 105,38)
Channel 1B will be changed from 100 to 105

Sample 2 - Calculation based on distance per volume (e.g. MPG):


DIS: 23 MPG.
Real: 24 MPG. (100 * 23 / 24 = 95,83)
Channel 1B will be changed from 100 to 96

Applied to My Car so far (2021 C8 A6):

1. Needle Sweep in Virtual Cockpit - Confirmed

2. Display transmission gear for "D" and "S" drive modes - Confirmed

11. Increase Range of Comfort Open/Close with Key - Confirmed

12. Activate RS style taillight animation - Confirmed for Prestige (might require taillights already
capable of some animation)

3. Change Parking Assist Speed Threshold - Confirmed


Change the speed to 20 kmh (from the default of 10)

4. Double Beep When Unlocking Doors - Confirmed

13. Adaptive Brake Lights (Emergency Brake Light Flash) - Confirmed? (Changes made but difficult
to test)

14. Unblock blocked-while-driving functions - Done. Waiting to confirm.
