Title of Micro Project:
WhatsApp Application clone

1.0 Brief Introduction

This project focuses on creating a clone of the popular messaging application, WhatsApp, using
Figma. The goal is to analyze and replicate key features such as chat lists, individual and group
messaging, status updates, and user settings. By exploring the design principles of usability and
accessibility, we aim to create a user-friendly interface that mirrors the essential characteristics of
WhatsApp while allowing for creative expression. This microproject will enhance our
understanding of UI/UX design processes, from research and wireframing to prototyping and
presentation.

2.0 Aim of the Micro-Project

This Micro-Project aims to:

1. UI Design: Create an intuitive and visually appealing user interface.

2. Feature Replication: Replicate core functionalities of WhatsApp.
3. User Experience: Enhance usability and accessibility in the design.
4. Prototyping: Develop interactive prototypes for user interactions.
5. Design Consistency: Ensure consistency using components and styles.
6. Feedback Integration: Incorporate user feedback for iterative improvements.
7. Collaboration: Utilize Figma’s collaborative features for teamwork.

emphasizing essential features such as messaging, group chats, and user settings. Throughout the
process, we gained valuable insights into UI/UX design principles, particularly in usability and
accessibility, while also recognizing the significance of user feedback in refining our interface. The
iterative design approach allowed us to create a more intuitive and engaging user experience.
Additionally, leveraging Figma’s collaborative tools enhanced our teamwork and communication skills,
which are vital in any design project. Overall, this endeavor not only strengthened our design
capabilities but also deepened our understanding of crafting effective communication tools, laying a
solid foundation for future design projects aimed at meeting diverse user needs.
