Final Project - Duet

On launching the game, the opening screen on the right will be printed.
The game has two difficulty levels, Normal and Encore. Pressing any
keyboard key other than ‘R’ will start the game in Normal mode while
pressing ‘R’ will initiate Encore Mode.

The game will begin after a brief dialog which

will appear on the screen. The game will appear
like the screenshot on the left depending on
which obstacles are randomly chosen.
Pressing/holding the left arrow key will rotate
the pair of balls anticlockwise while
pressing/holding the right arrow key will rotate
them clockwise about the center of the outlined
circle. The objective is to avoid any collisions
with incoming obstacles through a clever mix of
back and forth rotation.

The current score and high score along with the

name of the person who set the high score(which will be maintained
separately for both modes) will be displayed on the top right. In
encore mode, the stats will be displayed in red while they will be
displayed in white in Normal mode.

When one of the balls collides with an obstacle, we will get a ‘game over’
screen like the one on the right.Clicking the mouse on this screen will
restart the game after a brief animation while pressing the ‘r’ key on the
keyboard will switch game modes as well(If the player is currently playing
Encore, the mode will switch to Normal and vice versa).
If the player manages to beat the high score, there will be a slightly
different screen displayed on the left. The
player will be allowed to type their name in the
area of the screen where ‘ABDUL’ is displayed
and they can even edit the name by pressing
backspace in case of inputting some
unintended letter. Pressing enter will record the
name and restart the game

Note that while the game may seem

‘unplayable’(it isn’t we have tested it) at first
glance, especially in Encore mode,it is
intended to be difficult and will require you to use your brainpower
and fast reactions in order to achieve a good score!
