Course Learning Outcomes: After completion of this course, students will be able to:
1) CLO1: Examine the nature and morphology of rivers for construction of Hydraulic Structures.
2) CLO2: Distinguish and analyze the different types of River Training works.
3) CLO3: Explain and Analyze the Seepage analysis of weirs and barrages under Permeable foundations.
4) CLO4: Design canal, cross drainage structures, floor thickness and walls of Weirs and Barrages, canal
drops or falls.
5) CLO5: Design the hydraulic performance of Culvert and Bridge
6) CLO6: Evaluate the best design approach using applications software’s.

Lecture Policy: A student shall attend at least 80 % of the class lecture and 100% of lab and field practical’s to sit on the
final exam and to get the final grade submitted. Unexpected quizzes up to 10% may be the attendance for the rest 20%.
Late arrival for attending a lecture is offensive.
Teaching methods: Lecture, blended, tutorials, seminars, demonstrations, field practice, workshop, role play, simulation,
active learning, cooperative learning, flipped classroom, resource-based learning, and projects.
