System Introduction
Note: There are two types of fitting bags for fiber ring switching: optical modules of 100 Mbit/s and optical modules of 1000 Mbit/s. You can purchase a fitting
bag based on the specifications of the optical modules used on the fiber channel switch.
Intra-array communication:
The solar inverter communicates with the SmartACU2000D over MBUS power line communication (PLC).
Devices such as the transformer station communicate with the SmartACU2000D over RS485.
Communication between a PV array and the central control room:
The SmartACU2000D communicates with the central control room over optical fibers.
The following need to be reserved in the transformer station:
1. One 100 V to 240 V single-phase AC power input
2. If there is only one MBUS/PID route, reserve one knife fuse switch for the LV bus of the transformer. If there are two MBUS/PID
routes, one knife fuse switch needs to be reserved for each independent bus on the LV side of the transformer.

Note:
1. Prepare cables and accessories according to the user manual.
2. Remove the MBUS and AC INPUT waterproof connectors at the bottom of the SmartACU2000D. Route the MBUS three-phase power cable and
single-phase power cable through the corresponding waterproof connectors. Strip the insulation layer off the cables, and connect the cables to the
terminal block or switch based on the function and label.
3. Ensure that the three-phase power cable and single-phase power cable of the MBUS are correctly connected. Check the cable connection before
powering on the cabinet.
4. For a cabinet with PID modules, the three-phase AC power cable must have a dedicated functional ground cable and be connected to a dedicated
functional earth wiring point.

optical cable and the optical jumper, and wind the spliced cable
around the fiber spool on the ATB.
Note:
1. The fitting bag for optical ring switching is prepared by the customer. The bag should contain the low-speed optical module and optical
jumpers.
2. Remove the ATB cover, connect the optical module to the SFP1 and SFP2 ports on the SmartLogger3000, and connect the
preinstalled optical jumper to the optical module.
3. Connect one end of the prepared optical jumper to the optical adapter on the right panel. The other end is connected to the ATB.
4. Secure the external input armored optical fiber using buckles and screws.
5. Only qualified personnel are allowed to splice the optical jumper connected to the ATB and the external optical cable.

Note:
1. Customer-prepared cables: The computer cable (DJYP2VP2-22 2 x 2 x 1) or armored shielded twisted pair with the conductor
cross-sectional area of 0.5 mm2–1 mm2 is recommended.
2. Both the armored and insulation layers are suggested to be grounded for shielded signal cables with the armored layer.

Maintenance – Replacing a Single-Phase or Three-Phase SPD
Note
An SPD consists of a surge protection module
and a base.
If an SPD is damaged or its indication window
is displayed in red, the SPD is deemed
unavailable and needs to be replaced.
A single-phase SPD is replaced in the same
way as a three-phase SPD. This section
describes how to replace a single-phase SPD.
Replacement Procedure
Remove the faulty surge protection module
from the SPD.
Install a new surge protection module.
31
Maintenance – Replacing a SmartLogger
Note
Before replacement, turn off the single-phase power switch and knife
fuse switch in the SmartACU2000D, and then turn off the upstream
single-phase power switch and the MBUS/PID three-phase power
switch. Use a multimeter to check that the single-phase input and
three-phase input in the SmartACU2000D have no voltages. The
check purpose is to ensure that the SmartACU2000D is completely
powered off and the personal safety will not be in danger.
After disconnecting the power supply, wait at least 3 min before
replacing the SmartLogger.
After replacement, turn on the upstream single-phase power switch in
the SmartACU2000D and the MBUS/PID three-phase power switch,
and then turn on the single-phase power switch and knife fuse switch
to ensure that the system works properly.
Replacement Procedure
Disconnect cables from the faulty SmartLogger, and label the cables.
Remove the faulty SmartLogger and its cabinet-mounting bracket.
Remove the mounting ears and guide rail-mounting bracket from a
new SmartLogger, and install the cabinet-mounting bracket.
Install the new SmartLogger in the cabinet.
Connect the cables based on their labels.
32
