Introduction
This observation report summarizes the teaching practices
observed in Ma’am May Lydia R. Lagadia, of Grade 10 and
Grade 11, in English 10 and Practical Research 1. The
observation focused on
Classroom Rules: "Respect yourself and others," "Be
responsible for your actions," "Be prepared for
class.".
Consequences: verbal warning, loss of privileges,
detention, parent contact.
Positive Reinforcement: Praise, stickers, class points
Topic: Analyzing Figures of Speech in Poetry
Objective: Students will identify, analyze, and interpret
various figures of speech (metaphor, simile,
personification, imagery) used in a selected poem and then
apply their understanding by creating their own original
poems using figurative language.
Interactive Gallery Walk with Group Collaboration.
Students will identify and analyze various types of
figurative language (metaphor, simile, personification,
imagery) in a selected poem, and then create their own
original poems using figurative language. The report
includes observations of teaching methods, student
responses, and overall classroom dynamics.

THE TEACHER AS A PERSON
At the end of this episode, you will gain competence in clarifying your values about teaching
and in articulating and demonstrating one’s personal philosophy of teaching. The end goal is
to be a positive role model for students.
For you to be an effective teacher in the future, it is important to first start with an awareness
of your values about teaching and then write your mission statement or philosophy that you
will uphold with conviction.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT
How does the teacher manage the class considering the following aspects?
1.Organizational Plan
First thing First, respecting those who are above and below your position
and becoming obedient about the task at hand
2.Schedule
Making notes and trying to comply with the time-on-task schedule to ease
the burden of having missed tasks.
3.Record Keeping
Organizing everything, creating a file name for every record.
4.Physical Environment
Having organized a reliable set of officers and leaders to oversee the
cleanliness and orderliness of the classroom.
5.Discipline
Letting them understand the set of rules given at the very first day of
school year.
6.Routines
Becoming firm with the routine and adjusting right away if needed.
YOUR ANALYSIS
1. In what area of classroom management was the teacher most effective?
When the teacher tells the students to keep quiet and tells them to listen
to what the teacher teaches.
2. Was there an area where the teacher was least effective?
When the teacher lets the student be noisy while she is still teaching.
3. Suggest other ways that may address the concern in the previous question.
Don't let her students be noisy when she is still in front of the class.

1. Why is it important to know the legal provisions/guidelines/laws in school?
Because knowing the legal provisions in school promotes a safe, fair, and
accountable environment for everyone. It empowers students, guides teachers,
and ensures the school operates legally and ethically.

· The importance of having clear and supportive policies is essential for teachers, providing a framework for

Being a teacher is much more than just standing in front of a classroom. It's a demanding job that requires
a lot of dedication, passion, and resilience, and the demands of teaching are high, but the rewards are equally
great. It's a profession that allows you to make a real difference in the lives of young people and shape their
