Today I would like to talk to you all about gambling. We’ve all heard the term "taking a gamble.

"
It’s a phrase that often brings the thoughts of chance, risk, and the thrill of uncertainty. And yes,
gambling in its many forms is built on the idea of placing bets, of risking what we have for the
possibility of a greater future. But let me remind you that life itself is a gamble. Each day we take
a step into the unknown, making choices that could lead to success or failure. What matters
most is how we approach the risks we face, and that we win.

I’ll share with you a story from my own life. When I was a young lad, my family took me to
Caesars Palace in beautiful Las Vegas. I was fascinated by the energy in the air—the flashing
lights, the sound of poker chips clicking, the slots spinning, and the excitement of people taking
chances. I even got to pull the crank of a slot machine and I remember, that's when my life
changed for the better. It wasn’t just about the money for me, but it might've been the thrill of
uncertainty, the anticipation of the next move. Even at that age, I could see how people were
strategically placing their bets, managing their risks, and adjusting their approaches in the best
way to win big.

Years later, I found myself playing poker at school with my friends.Even though there was no
money involved, ( i wish though),; it was about learning how to read the room, make calculated
decisions under pressure, and obviously having the best poker face. I wasn’t always the winner
at the table, but I learned something valuable each time. The most important lesson was this:
success in any game, whether it’s poker or life, isn’t about relying on luck alone. It’s about
making the right moves and knowing when to take risks and when to fold.

Now, I am here to promote gambling in the traditional sense. We know that when we gamble
recklessly, we risk not just money, but our peace of mind, relationships, and well-being. But I’m
here to talk about the power of strategic risk, the courage to take bold steps, and the resilience
to keep moving forward when things don’t go as planned and you lose a round of hold’em when
the person next to you got 2 flushes in a row.

You see, when you approach life like a smart gambler, such as myself—playing strategically,
evaluating risks, learning from every setback—you begin to see the world in a new light. You
start to understand that the greatest victories always come from sheer skill and you believing in
yourself.

So, whether you’re making an important decision in your career, facing personal challenges, or
just playing poker with your homies, remember: the biggest gamble you can make is the bet you
place on yourself, as well as an all in bet. Believe in your capacity for growth. Trust in your
ability to adjust, pivot, and keep going no matter what. Remember, 99% of gamblers quit before
they hit big.

Thank you for your time and I hope you gamble too.
