TOPIC:
Teen's Code in the Virtual World: Where is
the Fence Between Creativity and Non-Virtual
Consequences?

1. OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT


Students will:

 Analyze how teens express creativity in the virtual world through coding, content
creation, and online interactions.
 Understand the ethical and legal consequences of digital actions.
 Reflect on their learning through writing.
 Create a viral video to spread awareness about responsible digital behavior.
2. STRUCTURE OF THE PROJECT
 Students will attend a persuasive speech presentation titled Teen's Code in the Virtual
World: Where is the Fence Between Creativity and Non-Virtual Consequences?”
conducted by English-majored students. The date and venue of the seminar will be
announced at a later time.

After the seminar, each group, consisting of at least 4-5 members, needs to provide Reflection
and Viral Video.

The assignment 2 project consists of two main parts:

 Reflection (30%): An individual written reflection based on insights gained from the
presentation.
 Viral Video (70%): A short, engaging video that communicates the key messages in a
way that can attract and influence a wide audience.

3. ASSIGNMENT 2 PROJECT: REFLECTION


GUIDELINES (30%)
Purpose

Each student will write a personal reflection analyzing the balance between creativity and
accountability in the digital world.

Structure & Questions to Address

1. Summary of Key Takeaways (30%)

 What were the most important messages from the presentation?


 How did the presentation change or reinforce your understanding of digital
responsibility?

2. Personal Reflection & Critical Thinking (50%)

Some suggested questions:

 Do you think teens are fully aware of the consequences of their online actions? Why or
why not?
 Have you or someone you know ever experienced unintended consequences of digital
actions?
 How should schools, parents, or tech companies guide teens to be creative while avoiding
harmful digital behavior?
3. Future Actions (20%)

 What steps can you take to be more responsible in your digital creations?
 How will you use your knowledge to influence others positively?

4. Format Requirements:

 250–300 words
 Clear structure with an introduction, body, and conclusion
 Proper spelling and grammar.

4. ASSIGNMENT 2 PROJECT: VIRAL VIDEO


GUIDELINES (70%)
Purpose

Students will create a short, engaging, and shareable video to spread awareness about the
importance of responsible creativity in the digital world.

Key Requirements

 Length: 3–5 minutes


 Target Audience: Teens and young internet users
 Platform Consideration: Should be suitable for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, or
YouTub
 Message: Must highlight the fine line between creativity and ethical responsibility online.
 Presentation: Students are required to deliver a 7-10-minute presentation following the
in-class viewing of the video during week six.

Possible Themes:

Some suggested themes:

 A story-based skit where a teen faces the real-world consequences of an online action.
 A before-and-after scenario showing how responsible coding can prevent harm.
 An informational video using animation or interviews to explain key concepts.
 A challenge format encouraging viewers to reflect on their own digital behavior.
