- Compare :

• Be able to compare one product multiple times


• Be able to compare two or more parts from one products

- Order part :

• If the user is not granted to order a part, the "My orders" option
menu is still available, but will list company users that are
allowed to order parts, along with a2mac1 company contacts.

3.3.1:
- Top menu: added an option to change language interface
- Part properties: the administrator can setup some properties unit to be
displayed before or after the property value (ex: $45 or 200mm)

3.3.0:
- Search:

• Default operator "=" is now switched to "values" for text and lookup
criterias
• Added a wildcard "*" to search values. This allow users to search
for a particular value without having to type it entirely (ex:
searching "plastic*" in manufacturers will get "plastic omnium" in
results)
• When adding a criteria to Input profile, it will now add it
automatically to Output profile too. The output profile is still
customizable.
• When selecting some values for criteria, with low screen resolution,
some text overlaping could happen. This have been fixed.
• Measurements column is split in four columns : Width, Height, Depth,
Diameter
• The "compare products" button is removed since there is already a
"compare" button at the top menu. This button has now the "compare
products" behavior when the user is on the search page
• Adding a button "search fasteners" to search for fasteners. When
searching parts, fasteners data are summarized (sum of quantity,
weight, list of fasteners types). When searching for fasteners,
each result is a fastener. Besides, a fastener picture is displayed
automatically when searching for fasteners.
• Add a "reset to default" button to restore the current profile to
default criterias.
• Renaming the "save as" button to "copy"
• Adding a new hierarchy filter, to search only among one or more
preselected systems.

- Data picker dialog: Fastener types and materials are grouped by familly
- Hierarchy: The picture tooltip now displays the first picture if default
one is not available
- Bookmarks: Fixed an issue when deleting some bookmarks: some bookmarks from
another user may also be deleted accidentally.
- Product sheet: Added an option to setup an additional product picture,
which is already input on a hierarchy element, next to the product picture.
- Navigation picture: The tooltip now displays the detailed material of the
part
- Bill of materials / By part / Search :

• Added new customizable columns : Diameter, Part memo, Parth codes,


and Part details weight
• Corresponding reports have been updated to get those new columns
• Result tables columns are autofitted to table content

- Compare selection: Removed the "add all" button (previously disabled) if


there is more available products than the comparison limit (default is 25)
- Compare: When removing products from comparison view, the scrollbar is
adjusted, and product list is saved to display it correctly in comparison
selection screen.
- [New feature] Pie charts on part properties:

• Pie charts on part properties (numeric only) can be setup through a


setting file
• At system level, one chart for the repartition of selected
properties (sum of all properties in sub elements), one chart for
the repartition of selected properties among sub elements, plus one
chart for each selected properties
• At part level, one chart for the repartition of selected properties

User Interface

This section describes the user interface of the web application, with screenshots and detailed description.
Current screenshots were made using Autoreverse, an A2mac1 teardown program, so data and features may
vary depending on availability and security that user has.
Menu

The menu contains buttons that redirects to main features (screenshot from Home Page).
It is dynamic, that means the menu options changes depending on which page the user is : when on Compare
Page, the "Compare" button is replaced by a "Go back" button, to leave compare mode.
If the screen resolution is too low to display all available menu options, a last "show more" tab is displayed that
will list all other options when hovering it :

Logo / Home

Click the logo to go back to A2mac1 home page.

Teardown Home

Click this button to go back to Teardown home page.

Search

Click this button to go to Search page.

By Parts

Click this button to go to By Parts page.

Compare

Click this button to go to Compare Selection page.

My Orders

Click this button to open My Orders dialog.


*Only available through a security setup.
If user is not granted, a dialog will show a list of allowed users to get in touch with, along with a2mac1
company contacts.

Basket

Click this button to open Basket page.


This feature is not handled by Teardown Web Application.

Export

Click this button to open Export dialog.

Feedback

Click this button to open the Feedback dialog.

Help

Opens the online help documentation.

Search by reference

Enter a part reference and press enter to get redirected to Part Sheet.
A part reference is composed by the Product ID and the Part ID, separated by a hyphen (example:
123-456).
By default, it searches within the current teardown.

Change language

Mouse overing this button to change the interface language, to French, English, Deutsch, Japanese or
Korean.
Home

Planning

The current Teardown Planning, for current date.


*Only available if enabled by administrator.

Latest products

A list of latest products, ordered by completed date.

In progress products

A list of in progress products, ordered by weight.


Planning

The planning is a feature that can be enabled by the administrator.

Filters

Filters to browse the planning, by service (here Teardown) and period (Year, Quarter, Month, Week).

Calendar

A calendar with products and projected dates (start and end), according to filters above.
Hovering a product name shows a popup :

Print

A button to print current planning :


Open in new window

Opens the planning in a new window to get it fullscreen.


Latest Products

Product information

Basic product information such as product ID, product name, picture, model year, teardown year and
weight.
Additional information can be displayed (here Fuel type and Market of destination), which requires the
administrator to enable it.
Clicking a product box redirects to Product Sheet page.

More button

Click this button to display more than 4 products, if exists.


In Progress Products

Product information

Basic product information such as product ID, product name, picture, model year, teardown year and
weight.
Additional information can be displayed (here Fuel type and Market of destination), which requires the
administrator to enable it.
Clicking a product box redirects to Product Sheet page.

More button

Click this button to display more than 4 products, if exists.


Teardown Filters

This filter list will filter the product list displayed below.
Beware that they're saved through user session.
It's also working when selecting products in Compare mode.

Teardown program

Pick a teardown program from the list to be redirected to it

Filter by year

Years filters are available only if any year if available.

Filter by segment

Pick a segment to filter product list by segment

Filter by product property


The product list can be also filtered by product properties.
Those properties are specific to teardown program.
*Only available if enabled by administrator.

Free text search

Filter product list by free text. exemple: "TDi", "Ambition", "Audi" or "2014".
There is no "search" button, the search will be performed on the fly.

Reset filters

Completely reset product filters and display all available products.


Product List

The available product list in the current teardown program.

Product list menu

By clicking on the "Products" link, a menu pops up.

Product brand

Click a product brand to expand it and display all its products.


An expanded brand is shown in bold.

Product name

The product name is the product model and year.


When the product name is in red, it comes from another teardown program using a mapping tool to
match current teardown elements.
Click it to open the Product Sheet.
The year is selected using the "Products" popup menu, among "Production year", "Model year", and
"Teardown year".
Model year is by default.
Popup Menu

Click the "Products" link to open the popup menu.

Expand all

Expands all product brands

Collapse all

Collapses all product brands

Year information

Pick a year that you want to be displayed by default, on all product names.
Available years are "Teardown year", "Model year" and "Production year".
Model year is set by default.
Hierarchies

Search

A free text search to find parts among the hierarchy.


It searches among part names, ParthCode, and parts weight.
Example with "front wheel" :
The hierarchy is automatically expanded to corresponding parts, which are displayed in bold.
Press the "Clear" button to reset.
When the option is set by the administrator, the hierarchy height is not expanding with its content, but
has a fixed height with a scrollbar.

Bookmarks

Users can bookmark parts or full systems, which are displayed here as a tree.
Bookmarks are available in product, compare and by parts views.
Click the "Bookmarks" link to open the Customize Bookmarks dialog.

When available, special users can create Public Bookmarks and share them with all company users.
A list of public bookmarks is shown on top of bookmarks tree :
Users can choose whether to show their own bookmarks, or a public bookmarks tree.

Hierarchy

Dismantled systems and parts are available as a tree view.


In product mode, only current product parts are displayed.
In By Parts mode, all parts are displayed in the tree.
In Compare mode, only parts from selected products are available in the tree.

Clicking on this "Hierarchy" link will opens a dialog to customize data displayed in the tree.
See Customize Hierarchy Data.

Total weight

Total weight of corresponding tree, as selected in Hierarchy configuration dialog.


Aggregated parts weight is selected by default.

Product Summary

Shortcut to Product Sheet, acting as hierarchy root.

Tree elements

Elements having a [+] icon are systems, otherwise it's a final part.
Clicking a blue element will show its information on a System Sheet or Part Sheet.
Systems are automatically expanded when clicked.
Clicking the [+] icon will only expand the system, without loading its sheet.
System or part weight is available on the right of the element, depending which data is selected in
Hierarchy configuration dialog.

Legend

Hierarchy data legend, see Hierarchy configuration dialog.

Pin / Unpin

Pin or unpin the hierarchy box to get more space for system, part, compare sheets.
Customize Bookmarks

Each user can manage his own bookmarks, by creating his own hierarchy and picking complete existing
systems.
Use drag & drop to bring existing systems and parts into user bookmarks.

User bookmarks

Complete user bookmarks tree.


Elements in italic indicates that elements are from the product tree. (ex: Brake Pedal, Pedal Support ...)
Some elements are created by the user, where existing systems and parts can be inserted into. (ex:
Interresting parts, To review ...)
Right click on a bookmark element to interact with it

Add Inside / Before / After

Right click a bookmark element to interact with it.


Some options are only available on some elements.
"Add Inside" will add a custom element inside selected item, one level deeper.
"Add Before" will add a custom element just before selected item, on the same level.
"Add After" will add a custom element just after selected item, on the same level.
Enter an element's name and press "Add".
Edit Element

Right click a bookmark element to interact with it.


Some options are only available on some elements.
"Edit" option will allow user to change element's name.
Enter the new element's name and press "Update".

Delete Element

Right click a bookmark element to interact with it.


Some options are only available on some elements.
"Delete" option will allow user to remove selected element from bookmarks.
A confirmation dialog will pop up to validate the delete action. A option is checkable to prevent this
warning.

Full hierarchy

Here is the full hierarchy, containing elements from all available products in the teardown program.
User can expand and drag & drop items (systems and parts) to his bookmark tree.

Interactive Help

An interactive help is available for users to understand how bookmarks works, explaining the drag & drop
functionality.
Customize Hierarchies Data

Some data can be displayed inside the hierarchy, next to each element.
This dialog allow users to choose which information to display.
Because those information are product related, it is displayed only in Product mode.

Red information

Choose which data to display next to element's name in the hierarchy.


Available options are :

• None
• Aggregated number of pictures (number of pictures inside element)
• Number of pictures (number of pictures attached directly to
element)
• Number of final parts
• Number of videos
• Number of schematics
• Aggregated number of fasteners (number of fasteners inside
element)
• Number of fasteners (number of fasteners attached directly to
element)
• Aggregated parts weight (sum of parts weight inside element)

Green information

Choose which data to display next to element's name in the hierarchy.


Available options are :

• None
• Aggregated number of pictures (number of pictures inside element)
• Number of pictures (number of pictures attached directly to
element)
• Number of final parts
• Number of videos
• Number of schematics
• Aggregated number of fasteners (number of fasteners inside
element)
• Number of fasteners (number of fasteners attached directly to
element)
• Aggregated parts weight (sum of parts weight inside element)
Black information

Choose which data to display at the right part of element's row.


Available options are :

• None
• Part weight
• Aggregated parts weight (sum of parts weight inside element)
• Aggregated parts weight without fasteners
• Fasteners weight
• Aggregated fasteners weight (sum of fasteners weight inside element)

Some other information can be listed here : aggregated numeric part properties (ex: Costs), depending
on teardown setup and user security rights.
Product Sheet

The Product Sheet is the default page when picking a product from the list.

Product name

The current product name : brand and model.


When the product name is in red, it's a mapped product.
The product name is followed by a red "(In Process)" message if the teardown is not finished yet.

Global product details

The product picture, teardown year, model year, production year, number of pictures, number of parts,
weight and segment are displayed on top of product sheet.
Note that years and segment information are shown only if set.
If set by administrator, an additional product picture can be displayed next to the current one. The
second picture is from an already input picture on a hierarchy element.

More information about product

When current product is available in other studies or teardown programs, a "Display" link opens a popup
with links to related studies :

Product documentation

The list of available documentation is available here.


Right click and choose "save as" to download files.

Group of documents

Product documentation are stored inside document groups.


Those groups are displayed as tabs, click on a tab to see attached documentation in #4.

Available schematics

If there are schematics in current product, shortcuts are displayed here.


A schematic is an exploded view of a system, where each contained parts links to the Part Sheet.

Product properties

Product properties are listed here, grouped by property groups.


Product property value

Clicking on a property value will popup a menu to interact with Search :

"Search this property" will add related product property as a search criteria.
"Search this value" will search for other data having with this value.

Pie charts

Three pie charts are available to describe product data, using tabs :

• Weight allocation : weight repartition for each level 1 tree


element
• Material allocation : material repartition by weight
• Supplier allocation : supplier repartition by count

Pie chart legend

The pie chart is paginated when many information is available in the chart.
Each entry is clickable to be removed from the chart and refresh the allocation, it can be used as filter.
System Sheet
A System Sheet is a page listing part's information and its sub parts.

System location

Breadcrumbs to the current system. Each parent is clickable to be redirected to it.

Global system details

Basic system details are displayed, when available, on top of system sheet.

More information about the system

When current system is available in other studies or teardown programs, a "Display" link opens a popup
with links to related studies :
Available schematics

Shortcuts to schematics where the current system is linked.


A schematic is an exploded view of a system, where each contained parts links to the part sheet.

Navigation (or Schematic)

If available, an exploded view of the system shows containing parts with a link to it.
Hovering a part shows a popup with its information.
Open Navigation in a new window

In case the schematic is too small to navigate, it can be opened in a new window by clicking this link.

Bill of material

A list of parts inside current system.

Bill of material - Table mode

In Table mode, parts are listed in a table as rows.


Columns can be choosen by clicking the "Customize Columns" button.
Each column can be sorted, resized and filtered.

Customize bill of material columns

This buttons opens the "Customize Columns" dialog.


It can be used to select which columns to choose in the bill of material table.
Part name, Quantity, Aggregated weight and Reference are default columns.

Bill of material - total parts

Summary of number of parts in the bill of material table.


Total parts is the quantity of parts inside the current system.
Specific parts is the number of parts inside the current system.

Bill of material - Thumbnails

Switch the bill of material view to a thumbnail mode, because pictures speak louder than words.

System pictures

*Only when available.

Picture groups

Pictures are ordered by groups.


Click a tab to display related pictures.

Pie Charts

Three pie charts are available to describe system sheet, using tabs :

• Material allocation : material repartition by weight


• Manufacturer allocation : manufacturer repartition by count
• Weight allocation : weight repartition by sub level

Pie Chart Legend

The pie chart is paginated when many information is available in the chart.
Each entry is clickable to be removed from the chart and refresh the allocation, it can be used as filter.
Similar Systems

*Only available if enabled by administrator.


Similar systems functionality works like the Similar Part functionality :
Identical systems : check this system of other products, having the same weight and dimensions
Similar systems : check this system in other products, depending on user input and treshold (weight and
dimensions)
Products without this system : list of all products not having this system.

Sub Schematics

*Only available if enabled by administrator.


Sub schematics are schematics of N-1 only items.
It allows a navigation through pictures instead of navigating through hierarchy.
Part Sheet

The Part Sheet describes information of a final part (no sub parts).

Part location

Breadcrumbs to the current part. Each parent is clickable to be redirected to it.

Global Part details


Basic part details are displayed, when available, on top of part sheet.

Schematic

A schematic is displayed if the current part is linked to one. Clicking on it redirects to System Sheet.

Supplier Information

When the supplier is available, it is possible to check which parts in current product are made from this
supplier, by clicking the "Other parts from this supplier in this product" :

The "Other manufacturers making this part" link shows supplier's concurrency on other products :
More about this part

When current part is available in other studies or teardown programs, a "Display" link opens a popup with
links to related studies :

Part Properties
Part properties are listed here, grouped by property groups.
When documents are attached to a property, its name is in blue and a dialog is opening if clicked, listing
available documents :

Part Property Value

Properties can be text, numeric, yes/no, memo or document.


Clicking on a property value will popup a menu to interact with Search :

"Search this property" will add related product property as a search criteria.
"Search this value" will search for other data having with this value.
When the text value of the property is a link URL (starts with "http"), the context menu shows an addtional
entry "Open link".

If some numeric part properties are set to "aggregated", they will also be shown on parents system sheets,
and can be selected in the Customize Hierarchy Dialog.
Some properties can be edited by some users, depending on rights. See Edit Part Properties.

If part properties are defined as array, they are displayed in an array (properties in columns, values in
lines) :

Fasteners
When available, part fasteners summary is displayed here, as rows.

Fasteners - More Information

Part fasteners can have more information, such as pictures and properties. This information is not shown
by default, this banner will expand current fastener details.

Expand / Collapse All

Shortcuts to expand and collapse all part fasteners details.

Part Pictures

All part pictures are listed here, ordered by group (tabs).


Hovering a picture will popup a zoom, that can be zoomed in and out using mousewheel.

The red rectangle on the thumbnail can be moved to zoom at any picture locations, using drag & drop.
Clicking on a picture will open the Zoom dialog.

Picture groups

Pictures are ordered by groups.


Click a tab to display related pictures.

Picture view name

Pictures are ordered by view inside a group.


Clicking a picture view name displays a popup to interact with the picture :
• "Download thumbnail" will download a small picture of current view
• "Download picture" will download the big picture of current view
• "Add to basket" will add current picture to Basket feature for a further
download.

Weight details

When available, weight details information are displayed here as rows, like fasteners.
Weight details information are : Picture, Name (only if set) Material, Quantity, Single weight and Total
weight.

Identical Parts

Only parts having the exact same manufacturer reference are listed.

Similar Parts

Here user can filter how parts are concidered as similar, by choosing filters and delta threshold :

Available filters are Weight and Measurements (Width, Height and Depth).
Click a filter to enable or disable it. Enabled filters have a white background.
The delta can be selected using a slider, between 0 and 10%.

Result are shown below, with the current part percentage difference.

Products Wihout This Part


List of products that does not have current part.
Edit Part Properties

Editable part properties can be edited but need a special security right that administrator can give.
All kind of properties are editable : text, numeric, yes/no, memo, list.
Depending on website configuration, the edited value can be automatically published (viewable by other users),
or in a pending validation : a special user can review and accept or reject the value before rendering it public.

Editable property

*Only available through a security setup..


Editable properties are orange colored.

Enter Edit mode

Click this button to be able to edit the property value.

Input field

When the Edit button is clicked, the property value turns into an input field that user can edit.

Cancel Editing

Click this button to cancel Edition.

Save

Click this button to save the property value.


Edit Part Documents

Some document groups are editable but need a special security right that administrator can give.

Editable group

Editable groups are orange colored.


Files can be added or deleted.

Upload a document

This button opens a dialog to upload documents.

Delete document

Click this button to delete corresponding document.


Delete a document require a confirmation.
Search

The search functionality works with search profiles and criteria, that can be saved and shared.
Profiles can be either private or public.
Private profiles can be set by the user, and will be available only for himself.
Public profiles can be set by a list of granted users (by administrator), and will be available for all company users.
Public profiles can not be edited by other users, but can be copied to a new private profile for modification.

Search criteria / Input profile

The list of selected criteria / values, are one Input profile.


One input profile is :

• a list of products
• a hierarchy element
• a list of part data with values
• a list of part properties with values
• a list of product properties with values

The input profile can be saved for the user for a later use (and naming it).

Current input profile

The default current input profile is "Default profile".


It's a pre-defined profile with a list of criteria, set by administrator.
Switching input profiles will refresh the input criteria list. Both private and public input profiles can be
selected.
Edit input profile

This button is available only if user is granted to edit the current selected profile (either private or public
with granted access).
It will open the Property Picker dialog, to select a list of criteria.

Copy the current profile

This button will popup an dialog to enter a name for the new input profile name.
If granted, an additional checkbox option is available whether the new profile should be private only or
public.

Delete input profile

This button is available only for private input profile, or public profiles if the user is granted by
administrator.
It allow to delete the current selected profile. A confirmation is needed.

Reset

Clear the current profile and restore the default one, set by administrator.

Clear fields

Sets all input values to blank, for a clean and empty search criteria list.

List of products to search

Use the "select" button to open the Data Picker dialog and select among the product list.
If some products are selected, the search will focus only on those products. If none is selected, it will
search among all products (same as all selected).

Search only a part/system

Use the "select" button to open the Data Picker dialog and select a hierarchy element among the hierarchy
tree.
If a hierarchy element is selected, only this element will be shown in results. The search will retrieve all
this element which have inner parts matching the input criteria.
(ex: Picking "Headrestraint" will show headrestraints systems having at least one part matching criteria
below)

Search among systems

Pick one or more systems to restrict the search among thoses systems, instead of the whole hierarchy.

Input criteria

The list of selected criteria, using the Property Picker dialog (edit button above), is shown here.
Each criteria can be restricted to one or a list of values, depending on criteria operator (=, between,
values)

When "values" operator is selected, a button "select" is available to open the Data Picker dialog and
choose one or more values.

Result criteria / Output profile

The list of selected criteria are one Output profile.


One output profile is :

• a list of part data with values


• a list of part properties with values
• a list of product properties with values
• a list of views (pictures)

The output profile is a list of criteria which will be shown as columns in the results table.
In the screenshot above, the output profile is a default output profile (defined by administrator), which
contains a picture (Front view), the product model year and part weight.
The output profile can be saved for the user for a later re-use (by naming it).

Current output profile

The default current output profile is "Default profile".


It's a pre-defined profile with a list of criteria, set by administrator.
Switching output profiles clear the results table in order to show it with different columns. Both private and
public output profiles can be selected.
Output profile actions

Same as input profile edit / save as / delete.


The "Edit" button is available for private and public profiles only if the user is granted. It opens the Property
Picker dialog to select a list of criteria to display as columns in the result table.
The "Copy" button will create a copy of the current output profile.
The "Delete" button is for deleting the current profile. A confirmation is needed.
The "Reset to default" button will replace the current criteria and values by the default one that the
administrator has setup.

Search products

This button will search the database using the selected input criteria and values.
The results are a list of products having at least one matching part, in a result table, with output criteria as
columns.
Please note that, having products as results will show only products informations in results (eg: brand,
model, product information and product properties).
Other information (part information, part properties, pictures) which are related to parts, will not be shown
here but in "Search parts" results.

Search parts

This button will search the database using the input profile criteria and values, and display the results in a
table with output profile criterias as columns.

Search fasteners

This button will search the database for fasteners matching the selected criteria elements and values.
If fastener type is selected as output column, a fastener picture column is added in the results table.

Search results

The search results are displayed in a table, with output criteria as columns.
Paging system

Since the whole database is searched, a lot of results can be found.


A paging system shows the total records found, and links to switch between pages:

The default records per page is 100 (set by administrator).


By Parts

The By Parts mode is a navigation by part instead of a navigation by product.


Picking a part will show all related product in a table.

Hierarchy

The full hierarchy is displayed here, so hierarchy data is not available (see Customize Hierarchies Data).
It's possible to browse by bookmarks or standard hierarchy.
Picking an element will refresh the table with regarding products.
For additional help with hierarchies, see the Hierarchies section.

By Parts details

By Parts result are displayed in this box, in a customizable, sortable and searchable table.

Customize Columns

This button will display the Customize Columns dialog, to choose which information to display in the
table.

Compare selected products

Switch to Compare Mode with selected products.


At least two products must be selected.
Comparison mode is limited to 25 products, so only the 25 first checked products will switch to this
mode.
Compare

The Compare Mode allow users to compare from 2 to 25 products in a single screen.
Data, Weights, Charts and Schematics can be compared.
The Compare Selection screen is the default page when entering Compare mode.

Hierarchy

The full hierarchy is displayed here, so hierarchy data is not available (see Customize Hierarchies Data).
It's possible to browse by bookmarks or standard hierarchy.

Products Comparison Selection


Products to compare are displayed as columns. Data are displayed as rows.
Clicking a product name will redirect to its Product Sheet.
Products can be reordered using the green arrows, or by Drag & Drop them from a position to another.
To remove a product from the list, click the red cross icon.

Comparison results box

Results are displayed in this box. See each available compare views to get more help.
Compare Selection

The Compare Selection screen is the default page when entering Compare Mode.

Filters

Use filters to find products to compare.

Available Product List

Products are ordered alphabetically, grouped by first letter.

When there is more than 4 brands available, a letter shortcut to brands is shown, to find faster a product
to compare :

Click a product to add it to product selection.

Add All

If there are less than comparison limit (25) products, this button will add all visible products to product
selection.

Product Selection
Selected products are listed here.
They can be reordered using green arrows, or removed using the red cross.
Use the Clear button to empty the list.

Enter Compare Mode

Enter Compare Data view.

Switch View

Switch between grid or list view.


Grid view is by default.
Compare Product Data

The Compare Mode allow users to compare from 2 to 25 products in a single screen.
Data, Weights, Charts and Schematics can be compared.

Documents

As on Product Sheet, product available documentation are directly available in Compare Mode.
Download a file by right clicking on it and select 'save as'.

Product Global Information

Products global information are compared first.


Product Properties

Product properties are displayed as on Product Sheet : by property groups.

Slider

Because there can be up to 25 products in comparison, it's not possible to display them all at screen.
The scrollbar will slide among product selection, without hiding product properties names.
Compare Part Data

Selected System/Part

When selecting a System/Part from the hierarchy, the Compare view is refreshing with selected
information.

Compared Part

It happens that a same part for different products are dismantled and attached in different places,
depending on complexity and level of teardown.
The Compare Part is comparing a single part at a time, so it's not easy to compare two parts that are
located at different places.
By clicking the part name, a dialog opens to select another element to replace with.
This way it's possible to compare a hierarchy element from 1st product, with another hierarchy element
from the 3rd product.

Pick a hierarchy element to replace the current one for selected product.

Part Properties

Product properties are displayed as on Product Sheet : by property groups.

Slider
Part global informations.

Part Fasteners

Basic Part Fasteners information are compared.


Compare Charts

Pie charts, as on Product Sheet, are compared in this mode.

Selected System/Part

When selecting a System/Part from the hierarchy, the Compare view is refreshing with selected
information.

Weights Allocation

Weight of sub elements repartition.


The legend is common to all weight charts. Right clicking a legend element will remove it from charts and
refresh repartitions.

Materials Allocation
Sub elements material repartitions.
The legend is common to all material charts. Right clicking a legend element will remove it from charts and
refresh repartitions.

Manufacturers Allocation

Manufacturers of sub elements repartition.


The legend is common to all manufacturers charts. Right clicking a legend element will remove it from
charts and refresh repartitions.
Compare Weights

In Weights mode, Product List and Hierarchy boxes are not available.
The hierarchy is embedded in the screen, and each row element is extended below product selection.
This view shows weights of multilple hierarchy element, for multiple products.
For each row, the ligthweight and heaviest products are shown with green and red arrows.

Selected System/Part

When selecting a System/Part from the hierarchy, the Compare view is refreshing with selected
information.

Weights Comparison

Clicking a row will set a blue background, for an easier browsing and reading.
Compare Schematics

In Weights mode, Product List and Hierarchy boxes are not available.
Each hierarchy element having a schematic attached is listed as a row, and schematics are shown below each
product.

System Hierarchy Element

Tree element that contains schematics for product selection.

Schematics Comparison

For each tree element, schematics are listed for each product.
Clicking on a schematic will open the Compare Schematics Dialog.
Each schematic has its menu, like in Part Sheet, to be downloaded or added to Basket.
Export

The Export dialog is called from the Menu.


It content depends on which mode the user is : Product, By Parts, Compare, Home, Search...
Reports options may also vary with specific reports.

Available Reports

This reports are available for everyone by default.


Additional reports may be displayed, depending on teardown type and requests.

Choose a report by clicking on it.


The gerenation will process :
Once done, the report will start downloading automatically.

Customize report

Some reports can be customized, by choosing which data to include (ex: bill of material).
Clicking this button will open the Customize Columns dialog.
Selected columns will only affect reports, this will not reset the current table layouts (bill of material, by
part..)

Close dialog

Report options

Some reports may have some options, to include or not fasteners and part details.

Property Picker Dialog

The Property Picker Dialog can be called from Search, System Sheet bill of material, Search and Export dialog.
It's a dialog that allow to pick different properties to display in Search, bill of material and report tables.

Data filter

Write the name of data you need to find among current tab, it will filter list on the fly.

Type of data

There are different kind of data that can be selected in tables :

• Views, for pictures


• Part data, for general part information (weight, supplier, ..)
• Part properties
• Product properties

Click a tab to show related data as a list below.

Views data
Views are ordered by group views.
A group can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on its name.
All views inside a group can be selected or unselected using the checkbox on its parent.
View names are searchable using the input box above.

Product Data

This is available information for product data.

Part Data

Available part data.


Part properties data

A list of part properties, that can be found on Part Sheet, are ordered by part property groups.
A group can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on its name.
All views inside a group can be selected or unselected using the checkbox of its parent.

When in By Parts page, an additionnal "Show only when data is available" option is available.
When checked, the By Parts table will show only part properties columns among selected ones, having a
value for the current part.

Product properties

A list of product properties, that can be found on Product Sheet, are ordered by part property groups.
A group can be expanded and collapsed by clicking on its name.
All views inside a group can be selected or unselected using the checkbox of its parent.

Save selection

After saving selection, the dialog is closed and selected data are processed by the calling functionality
(custimizing table columns, selecting data for a report...)
Data Picker Dialog

The Property Picker Dialog can be called from Search.


It's a dialog that allow to pick different data from a choosen property (here: manufacturer).

Data filter

Write the name of data you need to find from the list, it will filter on the fly.

Check all / none

Checks or unchecks all visible (filtered) data.

Data list

The current property data is shown as a list, where each element can be selected.
Material and fastener types data are grouped by family.

Number of selected data

Useful for large data list, it shows the number of selected data.

Save

The OK button will validate your selected and close the dialog.
Compare Schematics Dialog

The Compare Schematics Dialog opens when clicking a schematic from the Compare Schematics page.

Product name

Select a product from your comparison list.

Part name

The current part name where the schematics are compared.

Close

Click this button to close the dialog and get back to schematics comparison page.

Schematic

The selected product - part schematic.


Mouse over parts to popup more information and highlight the part in the bill of material below.
Schematic Bill of material

A list of parts that are referenced in the schematic above.


Default data is : name, quantity, weight, measurements, material, manufacturer and reference.
Zoom Dialog

The Zoom dialog is opened when clicking on a picture.


To close Zoom dialog, click the "close" button from the toolbar, or click anywhere outside the dialog.

Picture location

Shows where the picture is from : product brand, model, year, and location in the hierarchy tree.

Toolbar

The toolbar offers differents tools such as zoom in, out, fit to screen, 1:1 scale, open measurement tool,
download or print...

Zoomed picture
The zoom area. It can be moved by drag & dropping this area with mouse cursor.
Use mousewheel or zoom button from toolbar to zoom in and out.
Use right-click to define an area to zoom in.

Thumbnail

The thumbnail box shows the current picture and where the zoom is at, by a red rectangle.
The red rectangle can be moved using the mouse cursor.

Comments

Each picture can be commented by users, who defines if their comments are private or public.

Other current parts pictures are list here, to quickly switch between them.
The current view is highlighted.
FAQ & How To

I can't see all menu options due to my low screen resolution

How to free screen space to display more data ?


It is possible to pin and unpin Product List, Hierarchy boxes, Search filters to get more space to display System/
Part/By Parts, Compare or Search results sheets.
Pin and unpin elements using the right icon on top of related boxes :

Boxes will disappear but still remains available by hovering the vertical grey banner at left of the screen.
I'm not interrested by some data, can I hide it to get focused on what I need ?
Each data headers (or section) can be toggled to be shown or hidden.
Exemple of section (System/Part sheet) :

Clicking on it will expand or collapse its content. This status is saved so hidden sections will remains hidden
when switching products/system/parts.
The top right icon of the box will also expand or collapse all contained sections :

How to fast access a specific part ?


Each System/Part has a reference, composed by the Product ID and the Part ID, separated by a hyphen
(example: 123-456).
Enter this reference in the "Reference" menu option and press enter to get redirected to it.
