LEARNING OBJECTIVES

By end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:


Solve division number sentences involving any number within 100 000

LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:

Pupils answer cross number puzzle involving division by 10, 100 and 1000

Lesson development:-
1. Teacher explains about the movement of decimal point as a calculation strategy to divide any
number with 10, 100 and 1000
2. Teacher encourages the pupils to memorize multiplication table to facilitate the division process
3. By simulation, teacher assist the pupils to divide the number without leaving remainder using object
and multiplication table
4. Pupils check the answers using multiplication to ensure the answers are correct
5. Teacher divides the pupils into small groups
6. Pupils fill in the blank of division questions on the question card (21st CA)
7. Pupils answer the questions within the given time (CBA)
8. Teacher and pupils discuss the answers (HOTS)

Pupils make the correction and give conclusion for today’s lesson

1. Form upper and lower case letters of regular size and shapes.
2. Identify and recognise the shapes of the letters in the alphabet.
LEARNING OUTLINE
Pre-lesson:
Task 7 BEAT THE TEACHER- using a colour word.
Lesson development:-
1. Ask pupils their name. Have pupils ask each other what their names are.
2. Ask pupils how to spell their name: What’s your name? How do you spell that? (HOTS)
3. Give each pupil a piece of card. Ask them to write their name on the card to complete the
sentence. (CBA)
4. When pupils have completed their task collect the name cards, mix them up and give them back to
different pupils.
5. Pupils read the name on the cards and try to find the pupil whose card it is. At this point, they can
say simply (21st CA) A: Alia? B: Yes / No
6. Make sure pupils all have their own name cards. Tell them to keep them in their books so that they
can put them on their desks for English classes.
