2. ABSTRACT

This presentation explains computer networks and the Internet

in a simple way. A network is a way to connect computers so
they can share files, messages, or the Internet. The Internet is
the world's biggest network, used for websites, emails, and
more. We'll explore types of networks, how they work, and how
they help people in everyday life like school, business, and
healthcare.
3. INTRODUCTION

Networking means connecting computers to share data and resources. The

Internet is the most common example—it connects billions of devices
across the world. With networks, we can send emails, browse websites, and
talk online. This presentation covers the basic types of networks (like LAN
and WAN), important parts like routers and IP addresses, and how the
Internet works for all of us.
4. LITERATURE REVIEW

Author(s) Year Contribution

Explained network layers like OSI
Tanenbaum A. 2011
and TCP/IP.
Gave simple examples of how
Kurose & Ross 2017
networks work.
Created the rules for sending data
Cerf & Kahn 1974
online (TCP/IP).

Berners-Lee T. 1989 Created the World Wide Web.

5. RESEARCH GAPS

• Not all countries use the newest Internet version (IPv6).

• Wireless networks are not always secure.

• Many remote areas still don’t have Internet access.

• Fast Internet is not available everywhere.

6. PROPOSED METHODOLOGY
7. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION :

Network Type Speed Cost Where It's Used

LAN Fast Cheap Homes, Offices
MAN Medium Moderate Cities
WAN Varies Costly Across countries
8. COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

Feature OSI Model TCP/IP Model

Number of Layers 7 4

Who Made It ISO US Government

Use in Real Life Mostly Theory Common in Practice

9. CONCLUSION AND FUTURE WORK :

Networks and the Internet help us talk, learn, and work

better. They make the world feel smaller by connecting
people and information. In the future, we should make
the Internet faster, safer, and available to everyone. New
technologies like 5G and smart devices will make it even
more powerful.
